Story
According to the FBI, I was considered a serial murderer after three kills. What do they call me after fifty-two? They call me the Silencer. One final bullet would have been all it took to stop me from taking another soul, and I would have been doing Meridian City a service by pulling that trigger. An angel crying for help stopped me, and that night, I took three lives for her. Then three turned into eight. Then eight turned into twenty. Twenty turned into twenty-one. Twenty-one turned into twenty-three.

Wrenching
Reviewed: 10-01-24
This may be one of the best books I’ve ever listened to. The writing, storytelling, acting, and gut wrenching emotions are so well done.
I had a difficult time with the fmc through the first part of the book. Some decisions were hard to wrap my brain around but as the story progressed it all came together in one beautifully tragic story.
I can’t recall a book I’ve read in the last 20 years that’s hit me like this one did. The way the author and actors came together and created something so emotionally realistic is awe inspiring.
Please be read the trigger warnings and take them seriously. This story hits hard and pulls no punches.

Story
A captivating reverse harem romance, with four smoldering hot guys, one cold blooded assassin, and enough secrets and lies to tear them all apart. On my father's deathbed, he left me a lethal legacy and a vow of vengeance. I'm the shadow that haunts the opulent halls of power, cloaked in danger and draped in seduction. One of these men betrayed my father. But who? This is my hit list. Magnus may be a huge Viking with a mysterious past, but he has the sensitive heart of an artist. Tattoo covered, Russian mafia leader Yuri bleeds danger. The billionaire twins: Talon, the strategic genius; ...

I had to stop listening and switch to reading the book because of the narration. So bad.

Story
Thirty-nine was a fantastic year. I was married to the man I loved. I had a body that worked without creaking. My grandma, who raised me, was still healthy, and life was pretty damned good. But as they say, all good things come to an end. One year later, I’m a widow. My joints are starting to ache. Gram is in the nursing home, and dead people think my home is some kind of supernatural bed-and-breakfast. Gluing body parts onto semi-transparent people has become a side job - deceased people I’m not even sure are actually there.

Mixed feelings
Reviewed: 07-25-21
The narrators voice is too high pitched for my comfort. Her inflections and feelings are awesome.
The main character annoyed me through the whole book with her impatience, and constant jumping to conclusions.
I was highly entertained by the rest of the book though.

Irked but still listening
Reviewed: 04-21-21
The word is SHONE. As for as I can tell after some research “shon” is not a word. It is repeated ad nauseam throughout this book. It’s not a huge thing but I think I’d have been better served to read it myself, rather than listening to the book on audible.
