as someone who has not gone through past trauma, this was a very helpful guide to help me understand some of the actions and reactions of people who may have experienced it in the past. from the outside looking in, many things used to seem very irrational and overly dramatic. i now have better tools to work with my spouse and her family. i believe this book can help anyone with exposure to trauma be it personal experience or through the experience of a loved one. highly recommended!

could've been shorter and the use of so many lists makes it feel too much like a how to book and detracts from the material. otherwise it was informative and had some great points.

really great information on the food industry and what you can do to improve your health. even if you choose not to follow a whole foods plant based diet completely, it will still give you an idea of how to improve your health and prevent disease.

I loved every bit of this book. I hope our society can live up to the ideals of our country's founding principles. that starts with the type of personal accountability espoused in this book. a must read for anyone who desires to live with fortitude.

I've listened to the author on some podcasts and found him interesting so I decided to purchase this audio book. while some of the key content is insightful, the rambling anecdotes and off point topics made the book hard to follow. I also found it to reference religion a little too much for my liking. For similar books on human psychology and how to find meaning, consider The Happiness Hypothesis or The Coddling of the American Mind both by Jonathan Haidt. I found both of those book succinct and to the point backed by scientific. studies. This book will feel very much like a college lecture.

monotonous, slurred words, improper pauses within sentences. it was painful to listen to. night a day to narrator of death of money. just realized the author narrated himself. oh well.
