Story
You may know Jimmy Failla as the best dressed man in cable news. A force multiplier of positive energy on the radio who sounds like he gets paid in Tequila and Tide Pods. But he’s also a former New York City Taxi Driver who’s spent countless hours conversing with people from all over this planet and several planets you’ve never heard of. It’s those chats with hobbits, hookers, and time travelers that fill The Cancel Culture Dictionary with the unique perspective and savage self-awareness we need to escape the outrage era society is stuck in.

Story
Bringing with him the practical experience that comes from having owned a high-end gun store—catering largely to law enforcement—and as a competitive shooter and self-defense trainer, Correia blasts apart the emotion-laden, logic-free rhetoric of the gun-control fanatics who turn every "mass shooting" into a crazed call for violating your rights, abusing the Constitution—and doing absolutely nothing to really fight crime.

Should be required reading for every high schooler.
I couldn't stop listening, burned through it in two days.... about to start over because it is worth repeating.

On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Loved the book and Dan reading it as well. Really wish more public personalities would read what they author. His podcasts are A+ but all should taken his books as well for the deeper details.
Each chapter can stand on their so if you like to skip around, you won't get lost.
Also, the last couple of chapters on China's long game was laid out wonderfully. I had to replay them again because it does raise some intense feelings on how things have been and currently are.

Story
Eric didn't ask to be a vampire. In fact he didn't even believe in them. Biting your own tongue with your fangs does a lot of convincing. Even so, being a part-time undead isn't as easy as you might think. It can let you hold down a day job, true, but sometimes the night "life" can be more than a little difficult, what with those bloodthirsty urges and predatory instincts kicking in.

Loved the story... not the download
Reviewed: 12-20-18
Was easy to get sucked into the world of this book. I am a fan of details and of the inner monolog explaining the way the characters think.
That said, the download starts in the middle of the book. December 29th is chapter 1... I think. then it about 30% of the book in order, back to the beginning for another 40%, and finally skip to where the story jump in first place for the last 30%.
Still downloading the 2nd book. the story is that good!

Story
When you have to kill the same terrorist twice in one week there’s either something wrong with your world or something wrong with your skills - and there’s nothing wrong with Joe Ledger’s skills. And that’s both a good and a bad thing. It’s good because he’s a Baltimore detective who has just been secretly recruited by the government to lead a new task force created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security can’t handle....

A newer twist on an old story
Reviewed: 03-12-13
What made the experience of listening to Patient Zero the most enjoyable?
The reader did a fine job of giving each character their own voice and gave them a tone that showed the emotions at the point of the story. Never had a monotone sound or made your mind numb like some readers have done to me. The story followed along well and kept a faster pace so the mind didn't wonder off thinking about thing like, did I take out the trash before I left the house? The writer was good to give back stories on characters without going over board telling of their past that nobody would care about. And by the end of the book it will hit you that it took place in a couple of days, not over a few months. That made me reflect on somethings workout the way they did, people get tired.
What other book might you compare Patient Zero to and why?
The main character made me think of Owen from Monster Hunter International....and I love those books. I want my hero to be good, but not too good. And you have to love a smart ass too!
What about Ray Porter’s performance did you like?
Ray's skills makes me want to look for other books read by him. I've been turned onto other authors before due the readers.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Moment...no.... but chapters....well...there will be chapters that are grouped together to encompass a whole event....and there is 3 or 4 events that get intense. I'm a guy, love the action fighting and shooting battles.
