Colonel Silas Ford has everything he could want: a beautiful wife, a successful career as a fighter pilot, and a contented life. But his world is about to come crashing down. When failing eyesight grounds him, Silas is reassigned to the Pentagon’s enigmatic All-Domain Anomalies Resolution Office, tasked with investigating Unidentified Aerial Phenomena or UAP. I love every one of Mark’s book series and wanted to love this one. It was like I was listening to a different author. I didn’t care for the alien scenario, I can always relate to Mark’s books on some level but not with this one.

Story
Two retired Texas Rangers, Captains Woodrow Call and Augustus "Gus" McCrae, lead a cattle drive from the small town of Lonesome Dove to the unsettled Montana territories. On their grueling journey, they are joined by Joshua Deets, a Black scout and former Ranger, Jake Spoon, a fugitive, and Newt Dobbs, a 17-year-old boy who may have family ties to Call. Richly authentic, beautifully written, always dramatic, Lonesome Dove will make listeners laugh and weep, dream and remember.

I love books and read/listen to a fault. I loved Alice’s infatuation with books and her over dramatization of life. My life was put on hold until the last sentence.
I love the way Lynn Austin speaks Jesus into her novels.

After reading the reviews and realizing others disappointment I will still claim Shana as being one of my favorite romance novels. I may have to go back and re read to bring back the magic

In the compelling conclusion to the New York Times best-seller Her Mother’s Hope, Christy Award-winning author Francine Rivers explores the sorrow that can tear families apart and the grace that can heal the deepest wounds. Just as Carolyn had formed a stronger bond with her Oma Marta than with her mother, so Carolyn’s daughter is drawn to her grandma more than to a mom who’s caught up in the 1960s counterculture....
