Story
I ran from home to escape heartbreak, only to deliver myself into the hands of a wolf. Henry Wolf, that is. Heir to a luxury hotel chain, infamous playboy, arrogant bastard...and my new boss. Why he wants me, Abbi Mitchell - a girl who lacks experience on every front that would matter to him - as his personal assistant, I cannot fathom, especially when I keep messing up in the most spectacular way. Did I already mention he's a bastard? A beautiful, moody one, who's quick to demand, slow to apologize. And toying with me every chance he gets.

I loved the story throughout the series with the exception of the extremely long internal dialogs that took place moreso in the first two books. A one-second or less kind of reaction got an unrealistic internal dialog that went on for a couple minutes or more.
Also, I often found it difficult to discern between spoken and thought words. This wouldn't be the case if I were reading, I'd hope.
The reading was performed very will. The last couple chapters are 🔥 🔥🔥 and left me wanting more. Can't wait for Ronan to be released!

Story
Kitty Harris has it all: cosily coupled up with boyfriend Archie, she’s putting in the hours at an ad agency to land her dream job. OK, so maybe they’ve become a bit too comfortable in their routine, with pizza night every Thursday, and maybe the agency isn’t so much up-and-coming as been-and-gone, but Kitty is happy. Until one diamond ring sitting pretty in her pepperoni ruins everything. Kitty does NOT want to get married, not after being caught in the crosshairs of her parent’s destructive divorce.

Excellent Story and Narration

I enjoyed this book very much. I listened to it in one day, not wanting to stop. The narration was excellent and the storyline not a worn out version of the same love story. The book is well-written, in my opinion.

Great Story but...
Reviewed: 12-31-23
The story is really quite good! However, the narration is pretty hard to get through. I kept going, because I was interested in the plot. I don't regret it, but I was really struggling, especially in the beginning.
The voice is fantastic when she's just reading as the narrator, but when she speaks as a man or child, it's slow and drawn out and adds long pauses before every name. So weird. And the Australian accent... Whew. Try not to think about it.
This is definitely a book that should've been read by more than one person.

Story
After a broken engagement, Cher decides to leave heartbreak behind by signing up for a holiday house swap. For the next few weeks, she’ll ditch sunny California to spend her first Hanukkah in New York City, a time of snow-covered sidewalks, festive store windows, hot cocoa, and...cute neighbors? As Cher is moving into her temporary new apartment, Eliot is moving his ex’s belongings out, and he soon finds himself offering to play tour guide. He’s nursing a broken heart too, and spending time showing the beautiful traveler around is exactly what he needs.

Story
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Pay attention if you listen

This was a great story, although a bit sad for my nature. I will advise you, though, that the story goes back and forth to past and present. The author gives dates, so do pay attention to those. I really didn't at first and got a bit confused since without paper pages to turn back, it was harder to clarify.
Overall, a deliciously heart-wrenching and lovely story.

Story
It’s officially booty o’clock, I’m alone again in my kitchen choking down a slice of terrible chocolate cake…and I’m pretty sure I just got drunk texted by the man I have a ginormous crush on. I’ve been daydreaming about Eliot Hoffman’s dimples for two months, and even though I’m sure this was a mistake on his end, it doesn’t mean it’s not an opportunity on mine. It’s the middle of the night, and I just wanna talk to him. So I text him back.

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

Story
Ever proposed marriage on a first date? To a guy you first met covered in whipped cream? (I haven't even mentioned the bit where he won our date at an auction) There's no ring in my pocket, but I really hope he says yes. Not because I'm in love with him—that would be ridiculous. He needs to impress my father and I need access to my trust fund. That's all our union will be about.

Story
After losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can't help wondering what new torment fate has in store. To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan—a.k.a. Sir McHotpants—witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can't afford. The last thing she expects is for Quinn—the focus of her slightly, albeit harmless, stalkerish tendencies—to make her an offer she can't refuse.

Enjoyable and aggravating

I completely enjoyed the story line of this story, except for the redundant cluelessness of the main character. There were complete, illustrative details in nearly every part of the book, except for the sex scenes. I'm not saying I want x rated details, but come on. I'm guessing nearly anyone in their right mind would like a little bit more. There's room for a whole lot. I'm still on the fence about listening to the next volume.

Story
I believe in love. It just doesn’t believe in me. I date. I’m all for giving guys a chance. I’ve just never met the one. Until on a spring morning in the English countryside, a tall, dark stranger emerges from the mist. Logan Steele is all tousled hair, hard chest, and lips so perfect I want to reach out and touch them, just to check they’re real. Did I mention he’s an Earl with a self-made fortune? But when I find out Logan Steele is out to destroy everything I’ve dedicated my life to protect, the chemistry disappears and the hope that had blossomed my chest turns to rage.

I ignored the bad reviews so I could decide for myself. I'm glad I did. I loved the narration of this book. Imogen Church read the parts with amazing likeness to real emotion, unlike the flatness and monotone of many audio books.
Good story line. I enjoyed the listen.
