In the summer of 1967, Mark Garrison had dropped out of college at Southern Illinois University just before entering his third year. He had run out of money and had to work for a while. These were the days before the lottery and the draft soon came calling. In order to somewhat control his own future, he enlisted in the US Army's helicopter flight school program. Little did he know that this adventure would be the most profound experience of his life.

One of the best Vietnam Books I’ve read

Awesome story, the author kept it simple and told his story. Most war books in my opinion have too many characters and I get completely lost at who is who. He does a great job at sticking to his story.

Overall a good book. The author does a great job of explaining everything. I have a greater appreciation for rescue workers that work remote and the effort and training they put into serving us. What a tough job mentally and physically!
It did a political for a moment…of course politics have to be in everything now other wise it would get 5 stars across the board.

Story
In Wildlife Wars, Terry Grosz serves up fascinating stories - alternately hair-raising, hilarious, and heart-wrenching - from his 30-year struggle to protect wildlife in America. A natural storyteller, Grosz writes about the remarkable characters he met - on both sides of the law - as he matched wits with elk poachers, salmon snaggers, commercial-market duck hunters, and a host of other law-breakers. Best of all, though, these stories are so remarkably entertaining you won't want to put them down.

Great stories...my only gripe would be the author reminding the reader how “big” he is.

Not my Favorite Reacher Story

I really like Lee Child’s books but this one is definitely not my favorite. Pretty mundane for a Jack Reacher novel.
