Story
President George W. Bush describes the critical decisions of his presidency and personal life. Decision Points is the extraordinary memoir of America’s 43rd president. Shattering the conventions of political autobiography, George W. Bush offers a strikingly candid journey through the defining decisions of his life. In gripping, never-before-heard detail, President Bush brings listeners inside the Texas Governor’s Mansion on the night of the contested 2000 election; aboard Air Force One on 9/11, in the hours after America’s most devastating attack since Pearl Harbor...

Very Interesting Read
Reviewed: 01-31-11
This is the first Presidential Memoir that I've read. George Bush did not disappoint me in keeping it interesting. I do think it was a bit long, but there was a tremendous amount of information covered and he does an excellent job at clarifying his duties, the choices he made, and why he made those choices. He also shows that he's not afraid to admit that he made mistakes, but they were made with the America's Best Interest at Heart!

Story
Ann Burton's critically acclaimed first novel in this compelling Biblical series tells the fictionalized tale of a young Jewish woman who makes pottery to support her family. But when her brother's huge gambling debt threatens to enslave them, she convinces his creditor to marry her and forgive the debt. After her husband sends her to manage his herds in the hills, Abigail grows fond of the rustic inhabitants - and of an enigmatic shepherd soldier who's on a collision course with her husband.

Entertaining and well Aligned with the God's Word
Reviewed: 12-09-08
This is the story of David's wife Abigail with whom he wed after her very selfish husband became ill and died. It is fiction because it elaborates on who Abigail was and what her life before, during, and right after the death of Nabal. But, it is a likely story and very well aligned with the story in the Bible. I did not find it wordy at all and once I listened through the first chapter I found the narrators voice to be beautiful and easy to listen to. Ann Burton did a great job with this book and I'm looking forward to reading others by her. I highly reccomend this audio book.

The Prophet Does Not Disappoint
Reviewed: 07-11-08
Francine Rivers is the best Christian Fiction Author that I have ever had the pleasure of reading/hearing. Although she embellishes some to make the story a story, which is why she is a fictional writer. But you can trust that she is not leading her readers off on a tangent and away for the original story in the bible! I have never met her but I know from her stories that she is a Godly woman who loves the Lord with all of her being. Be sure and read The Prophet. It is the story of Amos and how he stayed true to God and how he must've felt during the days that he was called to prophesy for a sovereign God during a time when unfaithfullness and idolatory was rampant.

Fire Study did not disappoint me! Maria V. Snyder has done it again! Fire Study is packed full of Action, Betrayal, Romance, and Good vs Evil, not to mention tons of sci-fi/fantasy! It's all in the book and I recommend it HIGHLY! Although Fire Study can be read without reading the first two; Poison Study and Magic Study, but I think that the first two are as awesome as Fire Study and you wouldn't want to miss them! Happy, Happy Listening To Gabbra Zackman as she carries you through Yelena's biggest fear and her heroic stance against IT!

Pure Erotica
Reviewed: 10-10-07
If this book had pictures it would be pure pornographic. The problem with this is that it lends very little to the story line, which is what caught my attention, and gears more toward sexual acts. Some folks may find this book to be to their likening, but it needed more character than this. I don't mind a little sexuality in my romance books, but I need romance to be the dominant feature.

Francine Rivers has the wonderful gift of bringing the bible alive in her writings. I love the fact that she goes beyond the main characters of the bible and elaborates on the lives of those that were equally important in their roles and their service to the almighty GOD of all creation. I've read The Grace Lineage series about the Women in our Saviors heritage and how their roles played out and now this Series about the importance of the supporting men in the Bible has been just as wonderful and enlightening. Although Ms. Rivers books are fiction, I find that she stays completely within the writings of the GOD's word the Bible.

Anna Fitzgerald is caught between her dying sister Kate who has cancer and her love for her parents.
Anna was genetically conceived in order for her sister to get what she needed to survive from the umbilical chord after Anna's birth. The problem came into play when Anna was called upon to donate bone marrow, blood platelets, etc... over the past 13 years. Now Kate needs a kydney and Anna is isn't so sure that she's ready to give up one of her kydney's. She decides to hire a lawyer and fight for her right to make her own medical dicisions.
This story has enough of romance, mystery, and social issues to keep you coming back for more. And, the fact that there are several different voices telling the story just adds to it's intrique. It's a good listen and I recommend it.
The only reason that I don't give it 5 stars is because of the unnecesary language that is used. The story could have been just as good if not better if the language were a bit cleaner.
