Story
The ninth floor. Nine armies, each led by rich and powerful aliens from across the galaxy. Each team has one objective: to capture and hold the castle at the very center of the battlefield. Strategy, alliances, pitched battles, and, of course, betrayal ... It all makes for great fun and even greater television. After all, none of these powerful aliens really die when they’re playing war. Except this time. This time, winner takes all. Those who fall, stay in the ground.

Another instant classic. I've been following from the beginning, and waiting for faction wars for a long time. I was worried the hype would ruin it. I'm happy to say I was wrong. another classic.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Even really good stories don't always live up to the hype. This one did. It gets a little heavy on the science and math, for some. I honestly don't think it's a problem. If you're a space geek. buy this audiobook.

how the author manages to keep upping the ante. with not just physical, but emotional stakes. Without the power creep that turns the MC into a god is impressive I. a genre with far too much of that. This isn't just a great LitRPG. It's a great story, that people who aren't into the genre could easily enjoy. Add to all Thai the incredible work at Soundbooth Theater, and we have another classic. if you've come this far. I doubt you need convincing. if you're curious about starting the series. It's really something special. Do not hesitate.

Story
As management reels from the unexpected conclusion of the seventh level, the surviving crawlers stumble onto the eighth and find themselves scattered. It’s a map based on Earth’s final days before the collapse, where ethereal, intangible ghosts of humanity go about their lives, oblivious of the impending doom. Living amongst these ghosts are monsters based in Earth lore. “Legendary” creatures tied to the geographical location they inhabit. Each team of crawlers is given a task: Find and capture six of these beasts.

there are a surprising amount of negative review about this book. I get that it's the final book in the series MD some people probably wanted non stop action. while most of the book is preparation. I think it ties everything up nicely. With some very interesting and unexpected turns. it's worth the credit.

Story
The Scarlet Gospels takes listeners back many years to the early days of two of Barker's most iconic characters in a battle of good and evil as old as time: The long-beleaguered detective Harry D'Amour, investigator of all supernatural, magical, and malevolent crimes, faces off against his formidable and intensely evil rival, Pinhead, the priest of hell. Barker devotees have been waiting for The Scarlet Gospels with baited breath for years, and it's everything they've begged for and more.

I really enjoyed this story. I've listened more than once. My only problem is one characters extremely over the top "New York accent". I know this accent very well, since I have it. I understand it's absurdity. however this is a caricature. If you can get past this one characters voice, you'll enjoy yourself. I certainly did!

Digby Graves is done running. He wants to make good on his declaration of war, which means he’s going to need allies and a land to call his own. That’s where Las Vegas comes in: what better kingdom could a necromancer ask for than the city of Sin itself? With an opportunist turned kingpin, an army of fanatics, and a hive full of monsters standing in his way, the stakes have never been higher. It will take every spell and underhanded tactic in his arsenal to carve out a victory.
