About this listen

The time has come! Book seven in the best-selling Dungeon Crawler Carl series is here!

They call it Faction Wars.

The ninth floor.

Nine armies, each led by rich and powerful aliens from across the galaxy. Each team has one objective: to capture and hold the castle at the very center of the battlefield. Strategy, alliances, pitched battles, and, of course, betrayal ... It all makes for great fun and even greater television.

After all, none of these powerful aliens really die when they’re playing war.

Except this time. This time, winner takes all. Those who fall, stay in the ground.

As the AI continues its rapid decline, Carl and company take advantage of the chaos. For the first time ever, the crawlers are fighting back. They are now one of the nine teams. And this season, there’s a tenth army on the playing field. The NPCs, who are normally used as nothing but cannon fodder, have become fully self-aware and formed a team of their own.

For Donut and Katia, the stakes are even higher. Only one of them will be allowed to leave this level.

If they all want to survive, they’re going to need a little help from a veteran or two.

This is it.

This is what they’ve been fighting toward.

This is war.

This inevitable ruin.

wonderfully done

I absolutely love this series and recommend it to everyone, even though I doubt I'm the intended audience. I've never played a video game, and I'm old enough to collect Social Security and join AARP. When I started reading “Dungeon Crawler Carl,” I encountered unfamiliar terms like NPC, buff, debuff, and boss battle. However, now I'm fully engaged. This world is filled with characters facing challenging situations who rely on ingenuity, sacrifice, and teamwork to navigate their difficulties. It has universal appeal, and underneath all the explicit content, swearing, and sacrilege, there's a story about morality.

Mind-blowing work of imagination

War never ch... wait... WTF!!! Oh God, oh God no. Does it count as war crimes if Geneva no longer exists? Is it a war if you destroy whole armies, with barely a flick? Is it really survival if you are only waiting to see what kills you? Is something actually funny if you're morning while you laugh? Are you really sad if you're smiling through your tears? Here's a chance to find out...

War...

This was an excellent continuation of the story. There’s a lot of endings, beginnings and future preparations of earlier stories. Very well written and the voice acting is great as always.

Wonderful Story

i have I think 300+ audiobooks at this point but this series has got to be one of the best I have. One of the best and most versatile voice actors, the best writing, the most emotional abd compelling plotlines. I kept expecting shit to go south for our cast, and I was honestly not expecting the finale of this installment. Ive got to stop cackling randomly and cheering at work, everybody thinks I'm crazy but I cant help it. This series is just that good.

It just keeps getting better.
