Slow and emotional
Reviewed: 03-11-25
I like the same voice actor for this whole series. I love the first two books. The third one was nice and things started to change after her birthday. Fourth book got slow and was just dragging. I didn’t want to listen anymore but I already got the fifth book hoping it would get better. But it was the same way. There’s some good surprises here and there but then mostly dragged with fillers. The ending is okay. I feel so bad for Seth though. He deserves love and good ending. Aiden became very boring to me and corny. I’m glad they both got a happy ending together.

Good starting point but then stuck
Reviewed: 02-04-25
It has a good start but then it’s gets confusing who’s who and where they’re from. I feel it got boring in the middle. I couldn’t get past half way through the book for months. But the audiobook helps me push through. Her other book was good but I am disappointed at this one. Not sure if I should even read book 2.

Crow fairy!!
Reviewed: 01-22-25
Very different and interesting. Started out slow and similar to beauty and the beast story. But to have a crow who’s also a fairy. Very interesting terminology and I like it. I wish there is at least a man’s voice to say the men’s part. Overall was good. Can’t wait to listen to the next one.

Voice is nice but hard to follow along with which character is which. Feel like this book was a waste for a break. Fell asleep multiple times trying to finish this. I do like that each chapter has the point of view.

Story
Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen's reservoirs for as long as she can remember. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares… but it turns out they're real.

The journey was amazing and it’s good

Really good storyline and characters falling into place. A little humor and a lot of spices and more seriousness. I haven’t read in yearssss and this was very good although some parts was very slow. The ending cane so fast and unexpected. Love kingfisher voice.
