Sanderson produces another fantsstic story. We get Spensa back to where she was, narratively, in the first book and it works just as well this tone as last.
The new characters, the workd-building, the mysteries all work together perfectly. I can't wait to read(listen) to the next one.

I always love these stories but this one really did it for me. The action and scifi techno babble moved at a good clip abd it all built on things established in this story abd previous ones.
As is often the case the author has a goid chance if guessing what I'm thinking and explaining why solution X won't work so I'm left wondering what the solution WILL be.
Loved it.

It is led by the Nine Ruling Families, whose leadership stands as a bulwark of stability against the Chaos of the Unknown Regions. But that stability has been eroded by a cunning foe who winnows away trust and loyalty in equal measure. Bonds of fidelity have given way to lines of division among the families. Once again an excellent Thrawn story and a great conclusion to this prequel trilogy. it does a good job of tying together threads in motion as far back as the first book and bringing us to where we knew we were going in an incredibly fun journey.
