This is a dark and strange tale. Enjoyable no doubt but... be warned its full of wierd monster types and there's lots of strange killing. I suppose it's a typical scary si-fi, with mad scientist, bio-logical experiments and genetic mutations all running wild. If that's what you like jump right in. i did and although at first i thought I'd bail out persistence paid off and eventually i was content that i had not wasted a credit...Not in a hurry to read more of Jeremy Robinson but will eventually.

Once again Adrian McKinty has written a compelling yarn and as always Gerard Doyle brings the story to life with such authenticity that you feel your listening to some ones biography rather than a fictional tale. The story is full of twists and turns. The story is original and though it covers Ierland and america, like so many of his story's do.It remains fresh and original. Hope you enjoy listening to it as I did.

I rarely read zombie books cause there about zombies. this one is not, its about people and how their lives inter lock. It's way too short but that works also .I,d like to hear a full account of the books situation especially in the style that this has been written. well done Peter Clines another grate listen.

This I belive is a great Story and back in 1951 was most likely considered controversial and a good hot read. Today however it takes a little more to shock us. Basically the story is the world is split in two one for women one for man and we dance between the two watching how they cope without the other. So much promise and opportunity there. Thing is, it then stars to rave on in long boring speeches of pilosophy , Using the story and the characters in it to moralise about the evils of soscity, capitalist and Americans. It sets up a basic Women are from venus men are from mars comparison. which in !951 may have seemed quite clever and then it uses scrouge as an ending. The narration is fairly tedious and at times felt like the drone of an engine. the characters voices we're not to bad but too often you felt the narrator wanted to hurry through to the end .If you love old sci-fi or Philip Wylie then give it a try if not you may want to try another of his books first,

When i was a Kid we would go to the picture theatre on saturday and watch horror films. they we're fun, Fantastical stories about all kinds of monsters and such. this book is like one of those movies a bit too Fantastic to be considered real but a good "scary" listen. I do prefer Kootz when his story reflects a more real situation but this one is still worth a listen

I clearly missed the fact that this book was created for children when i read the reviews . that being the case I at first did'nt think it was up to Adrians normal standard. Once the penny dropped i became a little less critical. As a childs story i think its probably good, though somewhat violent and a little thin on morals and ethics. I finished it but probably won't continue with this particular trilogy. Prefer his books for us crustys.

Robert Crais will no doubt be writing more dog cop story's as this one is excellent. a nice tight story with well balanced empathy for dog human relationships. the story is not to complicated and doesn't bog down with endless detail, just enough to give you the picture you need. very little gore and plenty of story. characters are enjoyable. worth a credit. Going back to try another from Mr Crais

a very interesting story, mostly concerning relationships between animals and people. a some-what sad tale. Illustrating human beings poor record on animal empathy. certainly not a happy dog tale where fido saves the day. this story gets pretty dark at time as we follow the narrator through the human animal relationships this unfortunate critter has to bear
wortrh a credit worthy listen. Keep the tissues close
