More of the same

The plot moves along and develops a bit more, but this is really just the same as the last book with a different setting. Not necessarily a bad thing, as I liked the other books a good bit.

Rebellion

This is the third book of the star force Series. At the center is Kyle Riggs and his Marines. We find ourselves in one battle after another and it seems earth always hangs in the balance.

Sandra is too whiny

I love the storyline overall but I don’t really care much for the girlfriend of the protagonist. The addition of Marvin adds a nice touch and a bit of twist to the story however.

SciFi Popcorn

likable characters and a fun story that moves along at a good place. Not overly deep yet not slow and boring. great for listening to when driving or going to sleep when you can't give your full attention.

The story just keeps climbing. Pace and tempo is exceptional between the author and story teller.

About Time

This is the third book in the Star Force series. Although this book continues to have a main character that is the Mary Sue of the military sci-fi genre, it is thoroughly enjoyable. It was nice to see at least minimal development of the female characters and the storyline finally proceeded along the course it should have taken long ago. Overall pretty decent.

2nd Time Through Just As Fun!

As there arent any new Mark Boyett Narrated books out in the style I like, I decided to go back through many of my favorites. This book is just plain good all the way through even a 2nd time. If you like sci-fi that isn't super technical but also not just silly fantasy this whole series is good! At this point I've read B.V. Larson's entire catalog on audible and will keep coming back!

The Battle for Earth's Independence

Basically, the story is predictable here: heroes go against villains, you've seen it a mile away. This story seems to start to get somewhere, and the tactics/battle scenes are pure fun to listen to.

much better story than the first book

I hate the female character, Sandra. She is poorly written, she's a caricature of a real woman. Always whining, always 'jealous ' of his coworkers, just ridiculous. Toughen her up!!!
