Female voice terrible

I couldn’t get through the book the female voice is so bad. So unfortunate because story seems good but I will never listen to a book with her narration ever again.

Isabelle is completely lost. Overworked and underpaid, constantly torn between speaking up or stifling herself, Izzy thinks there must be more to this publishing life. So when she overhears her boss complaining about a beastly high-profile author who has failed to deliver his long-awaited manuscript, Isabelle sees an opportunity to prove her worth and finally get the recognition she deserves.

Excellent Story!!

This story was so sweet and heartwarming! A beautiful story that had me emotionally invested in the characters. Getting annoyed at Izzy and Beau at times and loving how their relationship grew. I won’t spoil it, but I waiting to hear things from beau’s perspective. It was worth the wait. If your looking for steamy, this isn’t the book for you, but if you looking for romance you can’t go wrong here.

Story
When someone asks you to spend your life with him, it shouldn't come as a surprise - or happen in front of 45,000 people. When freelance writer Nikole Paterson goes to a Dodgers game with her actor boyfriend, his man bun, and his bros, the last thing she expects is a scoreboard proposal. Saying no isn't the hard part - they've only been dating for five months, and he can't even spell her name correctly. The hard part is having to face a stadium full of disappointed fans....

Good 7.5 out of 10

Nick was a little annoying with all the worrying over silly things. Without giving away the book she stressed about simple things like if Carlos’ friends would like her or what his sister would think when she called. It seemed childish to worry about that in an emergency. Idk, she didn’t seem like a strong woman. Kind of ditsy like OMG about everything and “I need my friends!” This book wasn’t as good as While We Were Dating, but it was good listen. Just a little better than ok.

Interesting Plot twist
Reviewed: 04-24-21
The leading lady was annoyingly weak. She had no back bone and her emotions made no sense. The hero was ok, but how he handled his brother was completely confusing. he's supposed to be a Rouge but acts kind of weak too. The love story was decent, what saved the book was plot Twist at the end. thst made it quite interesting. I didn't see it coming. It kept me interested even though listening to some of the emotional rambling angst was cringy.

Narrator not Great -Weak Female Lead
Reviewed: 09-11-20
First the narrator was not my taste. She over dramatized everything making it annoying. Her voice was annoying. Story was decent but narratir ruined it. Female lead was not as strong as I'd like, too much angst. male lead was great. Romance aspect gets 2.7 out of 5. Not really steamy.
