Mrs. Pollifax is always to date even if set in 60s

I love Mrs. Pollifax her stories seem current and with the narration of Barbara Rosenblat I can be transported back to the 60s and have the fun of all those spy novels without the tech they have today.

I liked the story but it had a little canned feel

There was a bit of TV format to the book. It was a good storyline and was performed well. The undercover work had more substance than usual. All in all not a waste of time.

better than average abridgment

I hate abridgements but felt this better than most. I don't know if Ms Peters had developed the characters so fully in previous novels that I could sort of fill in the blanks a little. I wish though that the rest of her novels could be narrated unabridged.

I loved the feel of this book almost like an Agetha Christie. The twists and turns of plot kept me entertained all the way throught.

Should not be abridged.

It is a good thing I read a sequel first and got interested in the series. The story line is good however the abridgment leaves a lot to be desired. I could just as well have watched TV.
