I am taking this audiobook because I have never had a financial course, and now that I am older, I really see the need for it. I know that financial literacy isn't just about numbers and budgeting. It is also about beliefs and attitudes of the past that I would like to work on. This is a "holistic" course. I like that this course covers a list of 140 most common financial acronyms and abbreviations. It is good so far! I recommend this course.

Laser focused on Passive investors.
Reviewed: 03-09-20
This is an amazing book for anyone interested in passive side of investing in commercial RE. Mark Atwood has done great job, keeping his focus on passive investors. He nicely explains structure of commercial RE estate deals, then digs deeper in the following chapters on how to analyze deals. I really liked how he explains difference between cash on cash, vs average rate of return vs internal rate of return, and what should a passive investor focus on, depending on their personal goals of cash flow or net-worth building.
And a nice little piece nugget of wisdom about accessing retirement funds without penalty and taxes, some thing to research further.
I wish there was a PDF attached for all the graphs and figures that he references , as in audio format you can't see that.
Overall, highly recommend, any one with decent savings rate, and looking to build networth , passively.

This is a great resource for beginning cooks who are ready to try a different cooking technique. I liked it because it had clear steps, but also it addressed what to accompany with the proteins. For example, while the meat is cooking in the Sous Vide bath, there are directions for the vegetables that go with it but don’t cook in it. I find that helpful when it comes to time management making a full meal. Every recipe gives a prep and cooking time because times are all over the place for under an hour to most of the day. Love the flavors and have many recipes bookmarked for what to cook next.

Intermedia Python, Excellent
Reviewed: 02-26-20
My background: Had some python knowledge from other courses and did basic machine learning with them.
The content of this course isn't comprehensive in any way, it's more tricks-of-the-trade oriented. And that's what makes it so awesome! My personal favorites:
logging: After this you'll wonder why anyone would ever debug using print statements again.
decorators & context managers: Those were only covered superficially in other courses (or straight left out). Finally I feel like I at least grasped the core concepts of these.
regular expressions: Never used them before because they were too complicated. Well, not really if you break them up properly!
I personally haven't found a use case for parallel and async programming yet but it's good to know these things exist.
Mr. William Bahl really is a great teacher in the lectures. My only gripe with this course is that I wish it was more extensive :)

Thomas Herold is a successful entrepreneur, best-selling author, mediator, and personal development coach with a marvelous wit. He's one of the best investors of all time, who pulls back the veils and mysteries of Wall Street to teach the reader that he too can succeed handsomely by just keeping it simple. I enjoyed this audio book very much, but I think One Up on Wall Street is more of a must listen. I would recommend starting with that one.

In the dramatic narratives that comprise The Republic of Nature, Mark Fiege reframes the canonical account of American history based on the simple but radical premise that nothing in the nation's past can be considered apart from the natural circumstances in which it occurred. Revisiting historical icons so familiar that schoolchildren learn to take them for granted, he makes surprising connections that enable readers to see old stories in a new light.
