I enjoyed the story immensely. I laughed out loud and couldn’t stop smiling: I love Erin and Sebastian’s performance. I will relisten to this one.

I really didn’t mind the narrator for the male parts even though I rarely knew who was talking. But I hated the female voice. The story was great but I don’t listen to this trilogy much because of the narration.

There are narrators that can do 7 or more distinct voices, this isn’t one of them. You are never 100% sure who is speaking. It’s annoying as hell. Great story with lackluster narrator.

There is so much good about this duet but I am at chapter 11 of the second book and can’t hold my frustration in anymore. First she’s all up in her head and almost hating herself. No one tells her she needs to get some help to sort her baggage out but they love her? Help her help herself. Then you have him doing the same and almost getting himself killed over it. We are one book and 11 chapters in and he still hasn’t told her about some woman he loved named Maddie who is dead. Then after telling the hero she is on her way home and will be there soon, she sits down and starts talking and drinking with her roommate without ever letting him know she’s going to be later than planned. She complains when the men are inconsiderate to her this way but didn’t give Jackson a single thought. Knowing he’s messed up about people dying, it’s just totally thoughtless regarding someone you supposedly love?? She’s not a teenager anymore, it’s unacceptable. They both need help. Their mental health comes across as a bad state of being but no one is getting professional help or suggesting it. I mean come on already. I get there has to be problems to overcome but two books of the same two peoples insanity is just too much. I started book 2 because of the cliff hanger and I will still finish this one because I want to know if either gets their heads out of their ass and attempt to work through their issues in a healthy and safe environment. 🤞

The male narrator ruined this. He reads too slow and can’t really do two distinct male voices. Most romance narrators have an attractive voice but this guy’s name wasn’t working for me at all.

I like ménage stories. Most of the sex was your typical ménage sex but rough. If you don’t like rough sex, try to skip it but listen to the real thoughts that sometimes happen during them. It helps to understand the characters. Also, you have to accept that these people are effed up in the head so their feelings and reactions aren’t what most would consider normal. If you get passed all this and the suspense of who will die?, it takes you on a unique journey. I don’t usually care for this much suspense and roughness in my romance but the hearts you finally get to understand in the last third of the book, rip your heart out and then paste it back together for a HEA unlike any I have read before. Been reading romance for 30 years so that’s saying something!

I wanted to hear Will’s story until I saw who was narrating. Then I cringed and turned it off. Kristen Proby please use a male narrator for your male voice if Jennifer Mack is narrating. Her male voices keep ruining the books. I barely made it through a novella! Oh and stop having the men call their women baby. In thirty years of dating and sex, baby was never an endearment. Even the losers did better than that! Most of us like to feel special not like our man has to use something so generic we’re not sure he knows who he’s with. Thanks! Have a great day!

I liked the story but I really can’t stand this female narrator doing men’s voices. The tone is just horrible. I wish it was a true duet narration so she was only doing women’s voices and story telling. Other than men’s voices she’s fine. It completely turns me off and makes it difficult to change a book I am actually enjoying. I also get tired of all the “babies.”Seriously there are other endearments. Better ones. The author gets creative with the ones the female characters use but not the men.

This was fun as hell ! You have to suspend belief as there are a lot of just plain ridiculous premises but it was so much fun if you can! The narration was some of my favorite yet! If you just want fun and don’t mind cheesy, morbid humor this is the read for you.
