Story
Felix had risked everything to stop the threat of the Unending Maw. Except instead of death, he and his Companion Pit were transported to the deadly Void, a place far worse than the Foglands. The Maw is there with them, bonded somehow to Felix in a way none of them understand, but all of them hate. The three must navigate the desolate expanse of the dark Void, contending with voidbeasts, marauders, and the creeping influence of the Maw itself. It will take everything that Felix has—and more—merely to survive, let alone escape. All choices have consequences.

Start off with I enjoyed this book and will get the next one the day it comes out. Without giving any spoilers the main character was very hard to deal with at times making this book less enjoyable than it could have been. Nick Podehl was fantastic as always. Overall great start to a series.

Story
It seemed the unthinkable had happened. Someone had actually targeted the Ghalian, an order of assassins known and feared across the systems. It was madness. Only a fool would go after the likes of them. But, it seemed, the galaxy had no shortage of fools. Retaliation most bloody was in order, and one man stood ready to spring into action. Hozark was his name, and he was no ordinary man. He was a Master Ghalian, an assassin skilled in the ways of death. Practical, mechanical, magical, to him it made no difference.

In the end I enjoyed the book. The only downside to this book is that it had a tendency to drone on in portions. This made it difficult to listen at times. I enjoyed the narration and I the end am happy with where the characters ended up. Looking forward to the final installment.

The decision to start a new life is never an easy one, but for Joe the transition was far from figurative. Becoming a permanent addition to a game world, it doesn't take long to learn that people with his abilities are actively hunted. In fact, if the wrong people gained knowledge of what he was capable of, assassins would appear in droves.

It’s good
Reviewed: 10-25-18
The story is a fast paced litrpg. It kept me interested but took me awhile to finish. I had a hard time with the narrator. He was good in the fact that I was able to tell the difference between most of the characters. I just felt most of the voices either lacked emotion or were very annoying to listen too. This was my biggest issue and others may not have a problem with it. Overall it was entertaining and I will continue the series due to my interest in the storyline.
