I really liked the characters. They were wholesome and upbuilding. The woman with the physical challenges had a very good outlook about her disability.

The characters of course were fully fleshed out. Some of the people tho were pure evil and self-serving.

Story
Celebrity cooking show host Marni McGuire has seen it all. She’s been married—twice—and widowed and divorced. Now in her mid-fifties, she’s single. Happily so. She just needs to convince her pregnant daughter, Bella, of this fact. And maybe convince herself, too. Especially after Marni’s efforts to humor her determined daughter result in a series of disastrous dates that somehow prompt Marni to wonder if maybe the right man for her is still out there after all.

Story
When librarian Laura Griffith's 16-year-old sister disappears on a frigid February day, leaving only a brief note behind, Laura resolves to do whatever it takes to track down the runaway teen. That includes recruiting ATF agent turned PI James "Dev" Devlin to help. But the deeper he digs, the more he begins to suspect that something sinister is at work in the girl's disappearance. And the closer he gets to uncovering the truth, the clearer it becomes that the situation isn't just dangerous - it's deadly. Chilling and at times terrifying, Trapped is the latest thrilling listen from Irene Hannon, the queen of romantic suspense.

This book was everything I thought it would and more. It was sensitive, strong, outgoing and full of peace and insight. I had looked at the Audible selection for a while before I started listening. I didn’t want to be on another bandwagon. But before I could finish I purchased the hard copy so that I could read along. Black Girls really do rock and I’m glad I took the opportunity to experience it

This book deals with colorism in the African American community. This book resonated with me because my mother couldn’t pass the paper bag test. I have empathy for those rejected by a man who promised to love them. My own story is a page out of this era.

Murdered is the true story of the coldblooded killing of Sherri Rae Rasmussen, a 29 year old newlywed. Paul Christy's thrilling performance leaves the listener at the edge of his seat. Christy's voice reflects the journalistic and no-nonsense quality of Alexander's words. The narrative is detailed and thorough, without giving too much away too soon.
