Too short - both books should have been 1 book
Reviewed: 04-04-24
Excellent mystery. I’ve been listening and reading Whitlow books for years. Books 1 and 2 should have been 1 book. I’m disappointed each half of the story was full price because audible books are very expensive.
I hope I don’t come across this costly mistake again. Check the number of chapters before you buy these 2 books.
The reason I rated this so high is because the storyline is excellent.

Story
An epic tale of good and evil based on the four horsemen of the Apocalypse found in the book of Revelation. Using the four horsemen of the Apocalypse to symbolize the four Gospels, four transcendentals, and four forces of the universe (air, water, earth, and fire), Sweet and Wagner weave a fast-paced, end-times tale of good vs. evil and the promise of a new dawn for humanity.

This book had me captured from start to finish. The ending was too short without further explanation of the characters leading me to assume a sequel will be written. I hope so because I want to know the demise of Seraphino.

Story
Increasingly astronomers recognize that if the cosmos had not unfolded exactly as it did, humanity would not, could not, exist. Yet, these researchers - along with countless ordinary folks - resist belief in the biblical creator. Why? They say a loving God would have made a better home for us, one without trouble and tragedy. In Why the Universe Is the Way It Is, Hugh Ross draws from his depth of study in both science and Scripture to explain how the universe's design fulfills several distinct purposes.

Story
In ancient Rome, a woman flees for her life. Hidden beneath her blue cloak are secrets men will kill for - forgeries that prove the newly self-appointed bishops are pretenders who will stop at nothing to shape this new religion to their own ends. Two thousand years later, classical archaeologists Valentina Vella and Erika Simone stumble across an ancient parchment buried deep in the Vatican archives. To reveal Julia's legacy will put them in the crosshairs of a venomous Vatican battle for power and supremacy; to stay silent would make them complicit in an ancient heresy.

I forgot after hearing the first book how poor the narration was. overly monologued and not as professional as other authors have. sounds like the author needed a friend to do the audible version. I will do a better job of reviewing the sample audible before I purchase.

Captivating and Visual Historical Novel
Reviewed: 01-24-19
From start to finish, the author captivates the reader by drawing them into sights, sounds and smells of historical London and the sad state of the slave trades. The sailors are debauched, stinky, and drunk.
Love this author's style and can't wait to hear her next book.
