In Wisconsin, politics and survival intertwine, putting the entire town at risk while the malevolent Russian assassin crosses Alaska on his way to the United States, leaving a trail of bodies in his wake.

The horrors of Texas behind them, the travelers struggle to resolve past trauma as they seek out their next destination, Abby's home city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. However, elements within the government anticipate their next move and Abby may not like what she sees when she arrives.
