  • Our Current Bucket List Trips
    Apr 2 2025

Everyone who loves travel likely has a travel bucket list. And, the more you travel, the more it evolves. We’ve talked about dream destinations on the podcast before.

But, as time has gone on, our travel bucket list has evolved. Some places we’ve been lucky enough to go to. And there are other places that have pushed our original bucket list destinations further down the list.

From a bucket list safari destination to wildlife adventures in Alaska, here is our current travel bucket list, where we each list out our top 5 trips we’d like to take (plus honorable mentions of course)!

What are your bucket list destinations?

  • Mindo Cloudforest Day Trip From Quito in Ecuador
    Mar 26 2025

During our 2-week trip to Ecuador, we had about a week in Quito. And during this time, we knew we needed to take some day trips. So, we booked a day trip to the Mindo Cloudforest and it turned out to be the best day trip we took!

Between bird watching, hiking to waterfalls, and chocolate tasting, you cannot go wrong with a day trip to Mindo from Quito. In this episode, we’ll discuss what all we did, who we booked our trip with, what it was like, and our recommendations.

We booked with Real Dreams Ecuador for the private Mindo Cloudforest day trip from Quito.

  • 7 Things We Used to Do in Travel That We Rarely Do Anymore
    Mar 19 2025

Way back when, we were younger travelers looking to save money as much as possible and travel more. This meant sometimes booking inconvenient flights, flying home before work the next day, etc.

Now in our mid-30s, we noticed that there are a lot of things we used to do in travel that we rarely do anymore. As we all grow and change, so too do our travel styles. For instance, I was a budget backpacker who stayed in hostels in my early 20s. I don’t do that anymore.

And yes, we’ll spend $200+ extra for a flight with 1 layover versus 2. Perhaps its age/wisdom or perhaps we do have a bit more income than in our 20s. Either way, these are things we used to do in travel that we don’t do nearly as much these days.

What changes have you noticed you’ve made in travel over the years?

I wrote a Substack about this here too: https://worldwidehoneymoon.substack.com/p/things-i-never-do-while-traveling
