John Chapman epitomized the concept of "the quiet professional." He served in the elite ranks of the USAF's Combat Controllers and was the only Airman to be awarded the Medal of Honor during the Global War on Terror. He was a true warrior. Unfortunately, his story isn't without controversy as infighting between the Navy and Air Force shed light on his team abandoning him on the Afghan mountainside.

  • #118; Your Three Favorite Vets Recap this Week's News and Events
    Feb 16 2022

In this episode we recap this week's viral news and events from an independent prospective.

If you haven't noticed we've been a little unpredictable with uploading shows recently and it is because we're moving to a new network. We have several prerecorded episodes that I wanted to get out before the move. We will still be recording free content here along with premium content on the new platform (soon to be announced).

  • #117 Matt Jimenez, USMC (aka Matt's Alright)
    Jan 24 2022
I (with my entire fam) was down with the rona along with everyone else in the entire world at this point. We've also been busy working on some side projects and the first few weeks of 2022 went to the wayside. However, we are back to our weekly shenanagins with a fantastic guest, Matt Jimenez aka Matt's Alright from Twitch, IG etc! Matt recounds his story of overcoming mental health issues and how PTSD can come from places you least expect. Matt is a great guy and we had an awesome time with him. I think you'll enjoy the show. Oh, Frank was in Vegas and Jeremy was not in studio because my house was still a red zone of VIRUS when we recorded! Either way, we have been itching to go back live and bring you the latest news and events from the perspective of the modern veteran.

  • #116 Michelle Black, Author of "Sacrifice: A Gold Star Widow's Fight for the Truth
    Dec 31 2021

End of year special episode with Michelle Black.

Michelle is the author of "Sacrifice: A Gold Star Widow's Fight for the Truth." Her husband, Green Beret Bryan Black, was killed in an ambush in Niger in October of 2017. After receiving few and contradictory details about the ambush, she took it upon herself to find the answers. She trained herself to be an investigative journalist and conducted exclusive interviews with the survivors of her late husband's unit and researched military leadership and accountability to tell a previously unknown story.

Michelle and I had a nice talk about the meaning of family, life as a mil-spouse, raising children and the search for truth - no matter how painful. It was a honor to have her on the show and I hope you enjoy the interview.
