    Robert Wone and Joseph Price were unlikely friends. Having met in college, both went on to become promising young lawyers in Washington, DC. This is where their similarities ended. Robert, a fourth-generation Chinese American, was newly married to his wife Kathy and was about to embark on a new career. Joseph, a prominent LGBT activist, became known for his wealth and his unconventional sexual relationship with his partner, Victor Zaborsky, and the third man in their relationship, Dylan Ward.

    On the night of August 2, 2006, the lives of these two unlikely friends change forever when Robert is found stabbed to death in Joseph’s guest room. True crime junkie H. Alan Scott re-investigates this cold case, hoping to discover more about who murdered Robert Wone, talking to those who lived it, covered it and from within the LGBTQ community.

Exceptional Podcast

Frustratingly addictive

I have no doubt that Joe, Dylan, and Victor knew exactly what happened in that house! Why on earth have no murder charges been filed or has no one been convicted? As a true crime addict I wonder why I haven’t heard of this case before. I recommend!

New facts learned

As a true crime fan, I have heard the story of Robert Wine’s mysterious death.
I enjoyed this podcast because it gave me so much more information about the investigation of this case.

I looked forward to each new episode and was sad when they were all played.

Fascinating true crime story

This is a wild ride from beginning to end. The narrator draws you in and the twists and turns left me wondering how this happened. If you love true crime - this is one of the best podcasts I've heard in the genre.

A very intriguing story. Author is very biased

The author did include all relevant facts, which was refreshing. Bias was shown in the inability to view the hypocrisy of ideology that sexuality is only weaponized against homosexuality, transgender or queer rights. This is categorically untrue. One needs to merely look up ANY rape case in the last century to view the data. For example the Nikki Addimando case. There was question of kink culture in their marriage which was in fact rape used against the victim. Sexuality is weaponized in a multitude of ways as either no big deal, or a motive for murder. These 3 men used their sexuality as a defense. Which frankly is pretty disgusting. Considering they seem guilty as hell. I fully support LGBTQIA, just not murderers.

Great listen!

I couldn’t stop listening and ended up binge listening to it. The narrator does an excellent job. Love all the different angles. Really makes you think.

Interesting case, tiny bit dry presentation

This case has always baffled me so I really appreciated the opportunity to delve a little deeper. The presentation at times was a little dry but overall pretty good! Two things to highlight: killer opening tunes and Dr. G!!!

Chilling and complex

The overall sadness and tragedy of this case is unavoidable as more and more baffling details are revealed. The mystery deepens and twists in a way that really makes your mind work to try to make sense of something that in all likelihood will never make sense.
