  • Michael Lyons - Chapter 2
    Jun 10 2025

Scott welcomes back to the podcast his friend, Michael Lyons. Michael was a Guest during Season 2 and in that first interview back in 2023, Michael shared so many fun and interesting stories about his time working for THE WALT DISNEY Company, his podcast, and his first book, Drawn to Greatness: Disney’s Animation Renaissance. This book chronicles the unprecedented growth at the Walt Disney Studio during the 1990s. This time period resulted in such classic films as The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and Toy Story. In his second book, Magic Moments, Michael shares stories, lessons, & memories from a Twenty-Year Career at Walt Disney World.

When Magic Moments came out last year, Michael sent Scott a copy and he absolutely loved it! The book is full of first-hand details of Michael's work experiences at Disney, from positive stories to challenging moments, all of which have helped shape him personally and professionally. Because Scott loved Magic Moments so much and there’s a ton of great stuff on those pages, that was the focus for this interview...and you’re gonna love it!
