Today, we have the pleasure of welcoming accomplished jockey Katie Davis McCarthy to the Horse Whisperer Podcast.

Hailing from a family deeply rooted in horse racing, Katie is the daughter of retired jockey-turned-trainer Robbie Davis and sister to fellow riders Jackie and Dylan Davis. Her husband, Trevor McCarthy, is also a prominent jockey, making horse racing a true family affair.

In 2024, Katie continued to build on her impressive career, achieving 29 wins out of 351 starts and earning over $2.1 million in purse earnings. Her momentum carried into 2025, with 13 wins as of March.

Beyond the track, Katie's dedication to the sport extends to the welfare of retired racehorses. In October 2024, she joined the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation's Board of Directors, bringing her passion and experience to support the organization's mission.

Balancing her professional achievements, Katie is also a devoted mother to her two-year-old daughter, Riley, and continues to navigate the challenges of being a top-tier athlete and a parent.
