    When narcissistic, controlling people feel backed into a corner, meaning they’re exposed, challenged, or losing control, they tend to react with a range of defensive, aggressive, or manipulative behaviors. Their reactions stem from a fragile ego, a deep-seated fear of losing power, and an inability to process shame or vulnerability in a healthy way. Some of the most high-profile examples of this play out with celebrities who have controlling or narcissistic tendencies and can’t handle being held accountable.

    We’re going to do something completely different today. I’m going to dive into three current and past celebrity cases: Ryan Reynolds’ role in the legal battle involving Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, Bill Cosby’s downfall, and Kevin Spacey’s courtroom drama, to examine exactly what people with narcissistic tendencies do when they’re backed into a corner. More importantly, we’ll discuss what you can learn from these situations when dealing with narcissistic, manipulative people in your own life.

Practical, and Life-Changing Relationship Advice - she gave me the tools to be a better human.

I found this podcast because I was looking to build better relationships, I went through some significant losses because of mistakes I made and this podcast has really helped me transform my relationships, understand what a healthy relationship looks like and become a better person. I have never written a review for another podcast so hopefully that let you know just how much of an impact this podcast has had.

Life-changing podcast

I'm so grateful that I found Dr. Abby's podcast. I've had so many "aha!" moments listening to this show and I've seen a huge change in my relationships (all of them -- family, partner, coworkers) and I've generally felt better and more content. She shares so many useful tips that are simple, but really make a huge difference if you try them. I can't recommend this pdocast enough. Even if you're not in a relationship, which I wasn't for a long time, she really teaches you how to find peace and just be happy with yourself. Thank you, Dr. Abby. You're doing good things in the world!

These podcasts helped me identify the things I needed to work on in order to be happy in my relationship and with myself. It works! Dr. Abby is brilliant. Its refreshing to listen to someone so genuine and sincere. I've shared it with friends and they're hooked too.

HELPFULLY INFORMATIVE (& ALL-AROUND AMAZING!!!)

I tend to ramble when I write reviews about helpful podcasts that hit the mark on so many levels, so I'll do my best to be concise here with my top 3 reasons I LOVE THIS PODCAST:

1. Abby breaks her topics down into actionable, PRACTICAL steps - WITHOUT RAMBLING or getting off topic!

2. Very thorough in that she approaches each topic from various different angles
Example: How __(gaslighting)___ affects you personally, signs to look for when you're on the receiving end, long term effects, what you can do to combat _________, ETC.

3. She discusses the NITTY-GRITTY (juicy) aspects of popular mental health/self-improvement topics. 4 years + worth of content already there.
(there's so many good ones in her episode list, hard to choose every time I go to listen! They are all longer than 30 minutes, too =D)


I am your catalogue over-thinker and over analyzer who has put in lots of time searching for, and listening to various types of productivity, self-help, empath/mental health podcasts, so the above mentioned list is just 3 of MANY reasons why I love the podcast BEST out of all of them. BUT perhaps the MOST important aspect of the podcast is, to me, the likeability of the podcast host themselves...

Abby is extremely intelligent (PhD), yet speaks as if she's someone you've known for decades. Her background story is inspiring and relatable. I love her CHARISMA and down-to-earth practicality.

BUT the thing that I love the MOST about this is: she doesn't ramble. She doesn't laugh for 45 seconds leaving you frustrated as you close out the podcast app, waiting for her to get to the good stuff. She doesn't come off as "high n mighty", she doesn't turn you off after 10 minutes of introduction and announcements, and she DOESNT take up large amounts of time discussing trivial "life update" chats about her personal life, as MANY OTHER PODCAST HOSTS do.
****Don't get me wrong! Its not that any given podcast hosts' personal life isn't interesting or important. But lets face it... we DON'T always have the TIME, the ATTENTION SPAN, OR the EMOTIONAL BANDWIDTH that's required to get through these rambling periods that I hear on other podcasts do episode after episode!!!!****

LISTEN TO THIS PODCAST if you are struggling with mental health, relationship issues, or looking for information on being an Empath. TRUST!

OMG Abby is IT! Solutions for marriage trouble, relationships, life../

If you are lucky, someone stumbles into your life one day and changes everything….
