  • The sh*t your mother never told you about menopause with Sarah Fuhrmann (ep 96)
    Jun 13 2025

In this insightful episode, host Dana Jones sits down with menopause coaching specialist Sarah Fuhrmann to explore the unique challenges women experience during menopause. Together, they discuss the physical and emotional changes that can arise and the importance of adapting fitness and nutrition routines to meet new needs.

    Sarah's Bio:

Sarah Fuhrmann is a Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist, Nutrition Coach, and functional aging expert who helps women in midlife and beyond train smarter, feel better, and reclaim their strength and confidence.
She’s the founder of SGF Coaching, where she coaches women through the physical and emotional shifts of menopause, including how to adapt your fitness and nutrition when pain or mysterious new symptoms enter the picture.

She knows firsthand what it’s like when it feels to train when something hurts. She's been through recurring knee pain, to heel pain that made walking miserable, to heart palpitations that felt like a heart attack, all as symptoms of menopause. She’s also lived the frustration of trying to stay active when your body suddenly seems to have other plans. Today, she combines that lived experience with science-backed strategies to help women move forward with strength, clarity, and confidence.

Based in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Sarah coaches women around the world from her small-town home—bringing big-picture perspective and real-life practicality to everything she teaches.

Her work has been featured in Forbes, Woman’s World, Top Sante (sahn-TAY) magazine, on Atlanta News First TV, the Hit Play Not Pause podcast, and more.

Whether you’re an athlete, a coach, or just someone who wants to keep moving pain-free in midlife and beyond, Sarah brings empathy, expertise, and evidence-based clarity to the conversation.

  • Unlocking Pain-Free Living: The Power of Online Physiotherapy with Thomas Olsen (ep 94)
    May 30 2025

In this episode, host Dana Jones sits down with Thomas Olsen, founder of Embodied Health Physiotherapy, to explore the evolving landscape of online physiotherapy. Thomas shares his expertise on how virtual care can be just as effective as in-person sessions, and discusses the personalized approach he takes to ensure each patient receives a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs. The conversation covers the critical role of movement in recovery, the importance of interpreting pain and scan results correctly, and practical ways to use everyday items for rehabilitation. Thomas also addresses the global impact of chronic pain and advocates for making physiotherapy accessible and affordable for all.

Tom's Bio: I am Thomas Olsen and I am the Director and Lead Physiotherapist at EmbdyHealth Physiotherapy. I hold a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science from Charles Sturt University and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Western Sydney University.I have a deep passion for helping people move better and live pain-free, I founded EmbdyHealth to make high-quality physiotherapy more accessible through telehealth. I believe that expert care shouldn’t be limited by location, and through online physiotherapy, I can ensure that patients receive effective, evidence-based treatment from the comfort of their homes. My goal is to empower individuals to take control of their recovery and long-term health with practical, tailored solutions. I believe that physiotherapy is currently too expensive and too focused on manual treatments, that, while effective, can be done in other ways, or substituted with other pain-relieving techniques. I believe telehealth, or online physio can reduce many of the barriers to health that are currently present in the profession.

    • Low grade chronic systemic inflammation and its role in chronic pain + how to change some of our lifestyle factors to reduce this
    • How opioid medications can lead to an increase in your pain
    • How physio and other health disciplines can help people with chronic pain
