  • 20| Think Serving Others Is Just for Them? The Shocking Ways It Transforms You Instead!
    Mar 19 2025

Grief can make you feel stuck, isolated, and unsure of how to move forward. But what if the key to healing is shifting your focus outward? In today’s episode, we’re exploring the incredible, life-changing benefits of serving others. I’ll share my personal journey of how serving on a worship team and stepping into evangelism not only restored my faith but also led to unexpected blessings, deep friendships, and the discovery of my spiritual gifts.

If you’ve been feeling lost or weighed down by grief, this episode will show you how serving can bring healing, joy, and renewed purpose. Plus, I’ll give you practical ways to start serving today—whether at church, in your community, or through simple everyday acts of kindness.

    What You’ll Learn:
    • How serving others can shift your focus from grief to gratitude.
    • The mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits of giving your time and talents.
    • How God uses service to reveal and awaken spiritual gifts.
    • Biblical encouragement for serving others, including key verses in ESV.
    • Practical ways to start serving today, whether in your church, a local mission, or your community.
    Key Takeaways:
    • Serving others isn’t just about giving—it’s about receiving unexpected blessings in return. (Luke 6:38)
    • God can use service to restore your faith, bring community into your life, and strengthen your identity in Christ. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)
    • You don’t have to wait until you “feel ready” to serve—taking that first step can be a powerful part of your healing journey. (Philippians 2:4)

Challenge for this week: Pray and ask God where He wants you to serve, then take one small step to get involved.

  • 19| Struggling with Panic Attacks? What Inside Out 2 Gets Right (and Wrong) About Anxiety & How to Find Real Relief
    Mar 17 2025

In this episode, we dive deep into one of the most powerful moments in Inside Out 2—Riley’s panic attack in the penalty box. This scene beautifully captures what a panic attack looks like on the outside and, more importantly, what it feels like on the inside. We’ll break down why panic attacks happen, how anxiety tries to protect us (even when it overwhelms us), and practical steps to regain control. If you’ve ever felt like your anxiety is too much to handle, this episode will give you tools to navigate those moments with both compassion and accountability—two key ingredients for emotional healing and growth.

    What You’ll Learn:
    • How Inside Out 2 realistically portrays a panic attack.
    • Why Anxiety isn’t the enemy but just missing the full toolset.
    • The connection between self-acceptance and emotional freedom.
    • Practical steps to manage panic attacks and calm your nervous system.
    • How compassion and accountability work together to bring healing.
    Key Takeaways:

✔ Panic attacks happen when Anxiety takes over, believing it’s protecting you.

✔ The way forward isn’t about erasing anxiety—it’s about embracing your full self.

✔ Grounding techniques (like breathing and physical touch) can help soothe panic.

✔ Speaking truth over yourself shifts your mindset from fear to love.

✔ Emotional maturity grows when we balance self-compassion and accountability.

✔ You are not broken—you are human, and that is enough.

If this episode resonates with you, take a moment to breathe, speak kindness over yourself, and remember: You are deeply loved just as you are. 💛
