    Speaking of cocktails, today Matthew is drinking a Greta Garbo while Ben is drinking Spring Cocktail #4. Recipes below.

    Cocktail
    • 2 fl oz Light white rum
    • 1/4 fl oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
    • 1/2 fl oz Rich syrup
    • 1 fl oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
    • 1/6 fl oz Absinthe
    • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake 12-15 seconds. Double-strain into a coupe glass.

    Cocktail
    • 1 1/2 oz Mezcal
    • 1/2 oz Elderflower liqueur
    • 1 oz Simple syrup
    • 1 oz Lime juice
    • Add all of the ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wedge. Or cherries, whatever floats your boat.

    Speaking of cocktails, today Matthew is drinking a My Other Brother Ben while Ben is drinking Spring Cocktail #3. Recipes below.

    My Other Brother Ben
    • 2 oz London Dry Gin
    • ¾ oz Earl Grey Syrup
    • ¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
    • ¼ oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur (adds a subtle cherry-almond note)
    • 2 dashes Lavender Bitters
    • Shake all ingredients with ice until well chilled. Double strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon or lime twist, expressing the oils over the drink.

    Spring Cocktail #3
    • 1 3/4 oz Mezcal
    • 1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
    • 1/2 oz Elderflower Liqueur
    • 1 bar spoon Green Chartreuse
    • Combine all of the in a mixing glass with ice. Stir to desired dilution. Strain into a martini glass. Choke it down. I mean, enjoy.

Is LaMonte Wade Jr.'s .182 BA a good thing? (No, No ... and yes?). They also discuss the fifth starter battle and unintentionally discuss the 4th outfielder battle and the backup middle infield battle.

    Speaking of cocktails, today Matthew is drinking a Cinnamon Girl while Ben is drinking a Spring Cocktail #2 Recipes below.

    Cinnamon Giril
    • 2 Orange Wedges
    • 2 oz Reposado Tequila
    • 1/4 oz Dark Rum
    • 3/4 oz Lime Juice
    • 1/2 oz Cinnamon Syrup
    • 1/4 oz Simple Syrup
    • 1 dash Orange Bitters
    • Muddle the flesh of the orange (avoid the peel) in the bottom of a shaker. Add the remaining ingredients and add ice. Shake for 10-12 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice - preferably crushed or pebble ice. Garnish with orange wedge and a cinnamon stick.

    Spring Cocktail #2
    • 1 oz Mezcal
    • 3/4 oz Cognac
    • 1 oz Elderflower
    • 1/2 oz Curacao
    • Combine all of the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into a stemmed cocktail glass.

Is the battle for the fifth spot in the rotation already settled? Will a Giant win MVP and ROY?! Is robots taking over the world actually a good thing? Well, according the one brother the answers are yes, yes and yes. Obviously.

    Spiced Banana Daiquiri
    • 2 oz Aged Rum
    • 2/3 oz Banana Liqueur
    • 1 oz Lime Juice
    • 1/3 oz Cinnamon Syrup
    • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for 10-12 seconds. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.

    Spring Cocktail #1
    • 3/4 oz Mezcal
    • 3/4 oz Congac or Brandy
    • 3/4 oz Elderflower liqueur
    • Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. Double strain into stemmed cocktail glass.

    Speaking of cocktails, today Matthew is drinking a Bloody Season while Ben is drinking a Tom's Red Headed Girlfriend aka Ginny. Recipes below.

    Bloody Season
    • 2 oz Vodka
    • 2/3 oz Cointreau
    • 1 oz Blood Orange Juice
    • 2/3 oz Lime Juice
    • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
    • Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until well-chilled. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a blood orange peel or wheel.

    Tom's Red Headed Girlfriend aka Ginny
    • 1 1/2 oz Old Tom (Murphy) Gin
    • 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
    • 3-4 oz Ginger Beer (pre-chilled)
    • Add gin and lemon juice to a highball glass with no ice. Stir well to combine. Add ice and then carefully add the ginger beer. Do not stir.

    Fly Eagles Fly
    • 2 oz London Dry Gin
    • 3/4 oz Lime Juice
    • 1/2 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
    • 1/2 oz Green Chartreuse
    • Garnish with a lime wheel
    • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for 10-12 seconds and double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Add garnish and enjoy.

    Chartreuse-arita
    • 1 1/2 oz Tequila
    • 1/2 oz Green Chartreuse
    • 1 oz Lime Juice
    • 1/4 - 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
    • Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into a rocks glass with ice. Enjoy.

At no point do we suggest that they're doomed. (OK, Ben is his usual self, but he tries to be positive.)

    Cosmopolitan
    • 1 1/2 oz Vodka
    • 1 oz Cointreau
    • 3/4 oz Lime Juice
    • 1/4 oz Cranberry Juice
    • 1/4 oz Simple Syrup
    • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for 10-12 seconds. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a lime wheel if you have it.

    White Russian
    • 1 1/2 oz Vodka
    • 1 oz Coffee Liqueur
    • 1 oz Heavy Cream
    • Add vodka and coffee liqueur to a rocks glass. Stir to combine. Add a single large chunk of ice. Pour cream carefully over the ice. Stir to combine if desired.

    20th Century
    • 1 1/2 oz Gin
    • 1/2 oz Lillet Blanc
    • 1/2 oz White Crème de Cacao
    • 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
    • Garnish with a lemon twist
    • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

    Cocktail
    • 1 1/2 oz White Rum
    • 1 oz Amaretto
    • 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
    • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
    • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until well chilled. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon twist or brandied cherry.
