Metal vocalist since 1991 (Necrotic Mutation) and throat singer (Tibetan, Mongolia and Inuit throat-singing) since 1996, Sébastien Croteau masters an impressive number of extreme vocal techniques and vocal effects. He began teaching metal voices and throat-singing 15 years ago, He recently obtained a certification given by New York Vocal Coaching for having completed the Vocal Distortion Teacher Training. He has lent his voice to more than 300 characters.
In 2018, he created a company called The Monster Factory, a talent agency/ service provider that specializes in extreme sounds, vocal stunt works and creature/monster voices and he has also been a casting director and a voice director for various projects.
Sebastien’s dedication and expertise in creature and monster voice design have gained international recognition. He has been invited to speak about his work at numerous international events and video game conferences. Over the past four years, he has delivered over 20 talks in 9 different countries, receiving praise for his detailed and engaging presentations.
