Acerca de esta escucha

Interaction with people we desire to influence presents us with a painful choice: instant gratification vs. lasting impact. Most of us go for the first, but doing so greatly limits our ability to achieve the second. This is due mostly to "gratification traps", common pitfalls that we all experience in our workplace interactions. This audiobook will show you how to identify three such traps and then how to use a simple five-step method to avoid them.

So many ah ha moments in this book. I found myself reflecting back on past interactions and relationships and wishing I had these tools on hand then. Like anything worth doing, actioning this consistently would be really challenging, but I can already see a difference in the way I am approaching work interactions.

A must read.

Mr. Halevi categorizes traps and solutions quite well! His winsome manner and free, downloadable diagrams deliver a tool chest for reaching not only my goals, but better goals! Byron Wagner is a clear and articulate reader. Kudos on the French!

Such a valuable and easy read. Within two and a half hours, I discovered such practical ways of improving my interactions with people around me. Was initially frustrating to realize how many times I have fallen into the three Gratification Traps Ariel writes about - but now I know how to identify them and avoid them. A must read for anyone who wants to improve their persuasion skills.

A solid book filled with a good amount of practical information and delivered well by Bryon Wagner. The book is pretty compact and flows nicely without ever dragging anything out too much. It was very revealing how often you fall into the "traps" outlined in the book or other issues that are easily avoidable in interactions. Overall a solid and quick listen for anyone looking to improve their interactions and influence in the workplace.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This is a quick and easy listen filled with practical advice that can be applied almost immediately. Within days of listening I found myself applying Halevi’s techniques with the teams I manage, as well as in conversations with my own supervisor - and It’s been exciting to see how much effective his approaches are. I highly recommend this audiobook for anyone who feels their day-to-day communications are “stuck.”

Original and helpful, with great narration.

Updated narrative on delayed gratification & asking exploring questions to make common ground with people. Narration wasn't good. You'll be glad when the book is over, no question asked.

grateful it ended
