One of the best books I've listened to

I have been following Kacie basically since she started her social media, so I might be a bit biased in this review. But I loved it. I had a very similar experience living in Italy during covid, so it was healing to hear her story. She also gives a candid view on cultural differences between the US and Italy. Listening to this book made me want to return to Italy even more.

Inspiring and Motivating!

This is by far one of my favorite books, and as a therapist, will be one of my books I recommend to clients. I subscribe to Kacie on YouTube, and was so excited for her book to come out. Each chapter was inspiring and motivating. I loved it!

American Optimism at Its Best

Kacie encourages her readers to take a chance on something new, to be brave by telling her own story that starts with a solo trip to Italy. She is beautiful, and bright, inside and out.

Ode to the Beauty of All Things Italian

Having just gotten back to the U.S. after a week long trip to Italy (which ended with guilt-free morning breakfast gelato on the last day) this book affirmed all of the reasons why I want to go back for another visit! I appreciated the honest reflections about the challenges faced in an unfamiliar place and the encouragement that Kacie provides to “Do the stuff that scares you”. I found myself smiling throughout listening to her story as if she were sitting at my table, sharing a Spritz and telling me about her life.

Inspirational story that is funny and emotional and very real.

I liked everything. It made me laugh and cry and cheer for the author. She brought us on a journey with her!

Feel good read!

It started strong and ended strong, and a few points along the way I liked. A few times it felt repetitive, but overall there is good advice and good points made for getting out of your comfort zone! Would recommend:)

You deserve to read this book!

Kacie’s words resonated with me so deeply! It was so fun to hear her story and learn more about her. I’ve been following her on social media ever since I visited Florence on my solo trip to Italy three years ago. While I was on that trip. Somebody mentioned Kacie’s Instagram to me and I started following it. Now, after reading her book I feel, even more connected to her in her message.
