I suppose a girl has to do what she has to do in the end, so I decided to intercept Uncle Sam before he could come for me. Funny enough, it's surprisingly easy to find willing participants. I answered an ad, and the guy showed up at the coffeehouse we agreed to meet at. He showed up frickin'...beautiful and with brown eyes that tightened my tummy in ways they probably shouldn't have. He looks familiar to me. Like I've seen him on the news or in the paper or something.

Childhood Love
I love a good friends-to-lovers story, especially when it involves a childhood “nemesis” who didn’t even realize they were in a rivalry. There’s something so satisfying about watching their journey unfold seeing them grow, recognize each other’s strengths, and ultimately accept one another for exactly who they are. Their love story is just so fulfilling.

If “if you don’t get to the point!” was a book…
I have to remember that this author drags her stories out, the characters inner dialogue is so exhausting it completely takes you out of the story. Having one narrator makes it hard because it’s really monotone and monotonous, but the inner dialogue kills the story. Every time someone said something the persons inner dialogue would take over for what felt like 5 minutes, and when they would respond I completely forgot what they were talking about. It’s that bad.
I imagine some people would find this story beautifully written, but I to me it needed an actual story because there was no suspense and too much thinking. I started reading another book by this author, but had to quit for this very reason.
