Exciting and creepy collection of short horror stories!!
These stories are dark and haunting! They are all very descriptive with great imagery! There’s some sci-fi/supernatural horror in some of the stories, which was entertaining.
The stories are unique and I enjoyed most all of them!
I listened to the audio version and although I really like the stories and they are all well written, the narrator didn’t work well for me.

Great stories wrong narrator

I think these stories are fantastic! Christian Wallis as clearly a gifted horror author and his ability to bring good horror ideas to life is fantastic.

The narrator on the other hand was not very good. His voice and style were a mismatch for horror and it sometimes really took me out of the moment. He often made mistakes and stumbled over words. He should read books about fishing not horror.

Excellent narration, compelling stories.

I only found this book because I am a fan of Otis Jiry and his work with CTFDN, on YouTube, and his newer horror story time podcast. I'm so glad, because the stories in this book are so well written!! I'm a stay at home mom and an absolute junkie for short horror stories. I've been enjoying this book for a few days now and I'm so disappointed to be on the last tale of terror! I love this authors style, and Otis is a fantastic storyteller.

8 hours of wonderful unsettling stories

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection and the narrator. I follow CTFDN and that is how I found Otis Jirey and he led me here. He's one of my favorite narrators and a perfect choice for these stories. His voice and the way he tells his stories makes it feel like you're listening to an old friend.

Very Good Listen

This is an interesting story. Very Cool Story so far, Listen to it while working. I LOVE Otis Jiry's Voice. He does an amazing job of keeping your attention and his voice is so easy to listen to.

Great horror book. Very enjoyable and very easy to follow and understand. Very well done and narrated. Overall excellent book to listen to.

Great stories, terrible narration

I absolutely loved the stories, which were uniformally evocative and novel.

Unfortunately, the narrator was one of the worst I've ever heard. The pronunciation was muddled (which would be bad enough), but worse was the huge discrepancy in volume. Apparently the narrator believes that the only way to provide emphasis on syllables is to SCREAM them, while dropping to a whisper the rest of the time. Consequently, the volume went from inaudible to ear splitting, making the entire book almost impossible to listen to.

The narrator was so bad that I legitimately question the validity of the people rating the performance 5 out of 5. Otis Jiry has vocal talent best suited to silent movies, and should consider a career as a mime instead of a narrator. Just awful.
