Wine and Dead, Another Murder is #5 in the Sheridan Hendley Mystery series by Christa Nardi. Sheridan is an adjunct professor in psychology, and amateur sleuth, who is married to a detective. There is a murder at a local winery and Sheridan is asked by her boss at the college to help his niece and solve the murder mystery. A bit of a hypocrite since he usually he warns her not to meddle in investigations to avoid sullying the colleges reputation! Luckily Sheridan’s husband involves her in the case, and she helps solve it. I love this series, the characters and their interactions with each other. The narration by Jeanne Pilgrim Mayo is wonderful! She brings the story to life.

Suspenseful

What an awesome story Full of suspense made realistic by the Narrator. Twists and turns with each chapter.

There’s a murder and some grape vines have been poisoned. Sheridan gets involved with the help of friends and they visit various wineries investigating.

I really enjoyed this story. It has wine, desserts, dog shelter, and a good mystery. I like The relationship between Sheridan, Brett, and Maddie.

The one negative for me was when the narrator did the male voices. Brett and his partner are a large part of the book and Brett’s partner, Fabry’s voice seemed really odd and I never got used to it.

Wine with a little murder

Wine and Dead, Another Murder an outstanding audio book by Christa Nardi. I really liked this story. I thought the characters were great, interesting, and well developed. I liked that there was several threads that ran through the story. Sheridan is a stepmother to Bett's daughter with some problems with her birth mother. When a wine vineyard is poisoned with a toxic substance, then murder, Brett and his partner are on the lookout for the murderer. Of course Sherdan and friends are busy sluthing! Jeanne Pilgram gave a fabulous performance as the narrator.

Wineries can be deadly

This is the fifth in the series. I listened to this book while walking. I found the premise interesting. There were plenty of suspects, twists and turns until the culprit is apprehended.

I like the working relationship between the detectives and the amateur sleuths. The narrator enhanced the story. The trips to the wineries were informative.

I am looking forward to the next book.

Brilliantly Entertaining Cozy Mystery. I loved it!

A body is discovered in a vineyard, but that’s not the only reason the grapes nearby are starting to smell sour! Shenanigans are afoot for sure and before you can say bottoms up, Sheridan is involved in another investigation! But what’s even stranger is WHO asks Sheridan for her help with the investigation! Entertaining, engrossing and engaging, “Wine and Dead, Another Murder” held my interest from beginning to end! The stunningly human characters, the delightfully twisty, surprise filled plot, and the realistic dialogue is EVERYTHING I could have asked for in a mystery story! Christa Nardi’s writing provides everything you need to know to understand both the characters and the plot! What I love is that the information is weaved into the story so subtly that the listener gets what they need to know without any drag or lag in the story! It all makes perfect, enjoyable, entertaining sense and I loved every single minute! Five fantastic stars!

A Really Good Mystery

This is a really good mystery. It keeps you on your toes with all the twists and turns trying to figure out who-done-it. You get immediately drawn in by the storyline and the lives of all the town's people. The author makes all the characters and the narrator, Jeanne Pilgrim Mayo, does a good job with all the characters.

This book was a pleasure to listen to and I would like to thank the author, narrator, or publisher for providing me this audiobook at no cost in exchange for my unbiased review & I look forward to listening to more books by both the narrator & the author.

Great cozy mystery

I enjoyed this lovely cozy mystery. The mystery was well crafted with plenty of intrigue and kept me wanting to find out who the culprit was.
