What was most disappointing about Scarlett Edwards’s story?

So far, the only outcome is that this guy looses his manhood in a very painful way, but seems like she is getting brainwashed instead. Dark romance or sick twisted violation of a woman by a powerful predator. I may never try anything by this author again if he does not end up loosing everything for this. There is nothing he can do to justify this and sadly, the story seems to validate him so far. I am sure it appeals to someone. I really hate this guy. I just need him to be tortured to death, or near death over and over. I have a feeling I am going to be disappointed.

This story has me at Hello. The author has me wait after every book. I can not wait til the next book.

It's not over!

I just love this series and considering the ending there is more to come. The narrator, for me, has made these characters come to life! Great job!

Willing to Forgive?

Completely unrealistic! If you raped and electricuded me .... Nothing could persuade me to forgive you!!! NOTHING!!!!

Awful series! Awful! So offensive!

I tried the first novel in the series! It was horrible. Thought I should give the next novel a try. Wound up listening to the whole series!! It only got worse! Truly a tragedy!!
