What would you do if you died and then came back to life?

Hope, a drug addict on Skid Row, Los Angeles, does just that. She dies of a heroin overdose, has a Near Death Experience, and then returns to life. To a changed world. A world in the grip of the Hades-Prion apocalypse. Climate change and melting ice caps have released an ancient, Jurassic-era disease into the oceans. The Hades-Prion enters the food chain, infecting humans. The resulting plague ravages the earth, killing billions of people. The dead return to hunt, and eat the flesh of the living.

But there is Hope... and her identical twin sister, Trinity; two sides of a very special coin. Trinity, a clinical geneticist at the CDC in Atlanta, Georgia, has the seeds of a cure for the Hades-Prion infection in her grasp. She escapes the undead hordes in Georgia and travels across seven states to a secure research facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. Meanwhile, Hope runs the gauntlet across four states, to return to the family home in Denver, Colorado.

Twin sisters, each travelling across an apocalyptic American wasteland. What will happen to them and their companions? Who will survive? Who will die?
