Ella is 10, and loves inventing new things. Leo is three, and loves playing with his big sister. Great story as well as narration!

I listened to Time for Trouble with my almost 7-year old daughter during a longer car ride and we both loved it! The plot was perfect for her since it was light & fun yet captivating, and Bonniejean’s playful narration style transported us right into the story next to Ella & Leo. In fact, I might have gotten so engrossed in the excitement that I missed my highway exit, but then again the 5 extra minutes in the car weren’t a problem since the time flew by when we were listening anyway. Looking forward to joining Ella & Leo on their next adventure!

Fun Listen with Kids!

I listened to this with my 8 and 6 year old nieces while they were staying at our house. It was a quick-paced yet fun listen that kept their attention well. They loved the baby dinosaur theme and the scientific prowess of the main character. The narrator is fantastic and gives a lot of layers to the story and is really fun to listen to. If you're looking for a quick listen on a road trip this is a good one!

Riveting Story, Delightful Reading

Driving to work, making dinner, wandering around Walmart…. This book was amazing, and I couldn’t stop listening. I’m not supposed to be the target audience—but wow, I loved it!

Great first-time audio book for kids

This was the first audio book we tried on my kids, 6 yo girl and 8 yo boy. They loved it! We listened at bedtime for 10 min at a time, and it seemed to calm them down faster than stories with pictures because we could turn the lights down. We ended up finishing it on a drive which was great because no one got car sick looking at the iPads. They immediately wanted to start another audio book, so we’ve started Toil and Trouble, also narrated by Bonniejean Boettcher! That story is a little scarier, but the narration is amazing, hard to believe it’s a single person doing all the voices!

A fun, quick listen

As a fan of this narrator, I was excited to see a new offering come up, and I really enjoyed this fun children's story. Lots of imagination, would be a great listen with your kids or grandkids (and a fun one for anyone :) )

A great family listen

Time and Trouble was a fun listen for anyone looking for a bit of mild adventure with a timey-wimey twist. The story was well-written and the performance by Bonniejean Boettcher was energetic and enjoyable. I’d even recommend this audiobook to adults without children as the content is timeless, pun intended.

A quiet car ride for once - this book is awesome

Time for Trouble was a fantastic audiobook for my whole family and the narrator did a smashing job of bringing the story to life! The characters Ella and Leo were relatable both in their dynamic and in their differences and the incredible situations they found themselves in provided delightful scope for my kid’s imaginations.

We enjoyed the “roars,” Ella’s innovations (yay girl power!!), the reactions of the adults involved (will future books have more 911 calls??) and - from my position as Mom - the basic lessons that sacrificing achievement for the better good doesn’t mean a loss of self. I cannot wait for another Adventure of Ella and Leo to be available on audible!

Fantastical Book!

This book was a pleasure to listen to, even though I am an adult. It is a great adventure, and I can see the story coming right out of a child’s imagination. It also has a very valuable lesson about siblings, which was a bonus. The narration was wonderful, as was the music. I highly recommend this Audible book for children and their parents!

Wonderful Story!!

Dave Reed has written a really great story for kids intended for ages 2-10 most likely but as an adult I really enjoyed it too. He weaves humor and adventure into this tale that makes me less inclined to build a Time Machine (goodbye weekend plans). Bonniejean Boettcher’s performance of the book breathes life into each character. She carefully balances the story’s events with a natural pacing that really draws in the listener. Great for a bedtime story or long drive - absolutely recommend this audiobook!!!
