Great Read

I purchased this book on sale. I’m always looking for new authors. This book was great from beginning to end. Loved the narrator as well.

Wow. Just wow

Let me just say I have never had to pause a book because I am so upset about the characters .. but then have start right back because it’s SOOO good. I have never caught myself yelling in my car saying YOU GO GIRL! GET HIM! Or literally booing the antagonist. Let’s just say this was good !!!

Predictable

The story was way too long, the ending predictable, the female empowerment twisted and shows the author doesn’t get the concept.
Narrator was great, although at times it was difficult to tell who was who.
I read a lot of police procedural, so you learn a little about the law, this author didn’t do her homework.
There are several inconsistencies and events where you have to suspend credibility.
I wouldn’t recommend it, but it’s intriguing enough once you start it to finish it.

Make sure you can pay attention as this sorry deserves all you can give it.

Predictable. Booo…

Fast moving “Soap opera” melodrama with sexual encounters mixed in just for “effect” instead of actually helping the Reader feel like they were experiencing unknown realms. Very blah but yet it kept my attention up until the last 34 minutes when, after the predictable suspect was confirmed, a ‘girl power’ theme kicked in and I could not possibly go .. on.. any… longer…

great premise but too ambitious

so I liked the book and did finish it but there was missed opportunities here(without giving spoilers) I felt like mundane points were focused on instead of the main story line and it just dragged the story out unnecessarily for no reason and caused careless mistakes/overlap. wonderful narrator, she really put effort into the various voices.

Really good to the end

Love the performance and the story. This will make a fantastic movie!
Great character development.

Interesting Some Good Twists

Plot and pacing was good for this story. But gaslighting drives me crazy and I don’t think many can write it well. There was a push to not like a character in the beginning which felt forced when towards the middle actions definitely told the real story. Secondary characters were great.

Narration was excellent!!

Not for me

It was interesting at first but I draw the line at sexual abuse. It was just too disturbing for me. I actually had to stop listening pretty quickly so I did not finish the book.
