A Joy for Theatre Kids Everywhere

Beautiful read! As a playwright and actor myself it was wonderful to hear the story of one of my theatre heroes.

Loved this audio book

Could not put it down! Seller knows how to tell a story. He is inspiring and relatable. And it is a big bonus that the audio book is performed by actors including Lin Manuel!

Outstanding

Why did I cry so many times throughout this book?! It was just fantastic and insightful. For someone who loves musicals but is nowhere close to this industry, this was an amazing book. Also, what a stacked cast for the audiobook. I fully recommend this. You’ll enjoy it. Thanks to Jeffrey for writing this.

Front Row Seat to Broadway History

This book is a tour de force from one of the greatest Broadway producers of all time. It is both an emotionally honesty human story and filled with remarkable insights from the world of musical theatre. I learned a ton and found myself crying at times. But most of all I couldn’t believe that I got to be a fly on the wall for some of the most important movements in the history of musical theatre. Thank you Jeffrey Sellers for sharing your remarkable journey!

The plodding, boring voice of the narrator.

The story would have been far more engaging if the narration had been more expressive. We got about 1/3 of the way through, and we just couldn't take it anymore.

Some things should not be shared

Interesting beginning. Could care less about sex acts… save it for porn please. Humble upbringing but all gone. Got bored by Avenue Q. Curious to finished but bearly got there: It’s just that we want to learn more about Hamilton. You won’t. It’s all about the producer, and how he got rich. Pass. Skip the book, but catch the musicals!
