Jessica Sims's "Out With a Fang" features Ruby Sommers, a lonely were-jaguar who signs up for a blind date through the paranormal dating agency Midnight Liaisons. When she arrives, she finds out that her date, a vampire, was the human she'd been in love with four years ago but was forced to dump.

3 stories to enjoy!

Unlike some reviewers, I thoroughly enjoyed the first story by Jessica Simms. Leah Mallach did an awesome job of narrating the tale with the proper accents and clear character delineation. Her vocal animation was delightful. A thoroughly entertaining tale. 5 stars across the board for this story. The second story by Molly Harper was another one of her many entertaining tales and once again Abby Craden did an excellent job. Another 5 star story, even though it was by far a simpler tale than the first one. The third story, by Katie MacAlister, was okay, if rather predictable, and told with moderate enthusiasm by Sophie Eastlake. It was a solid 4 stars. Overall this audio book of three stories is definitely worth the listen.

I liked the 2nd book the best the 3rd book was ok... the first was not good.

Loved the last 2 books

I didn't care for the narrator in the first book and couldn't get into the story so I skipped to the 2nd, which I really enjoyed it and the 3rd. I haven't read anything by the 3rd author, Katie McAllister, before but now I'm going to look her up!

Misleading and out of order

I bought this because it was listed as part of Molly Harper's Half Moon Hollow series which is misleading. And it was listed way out of order.

What did you like best about The Undead in My Bed? What did you like least?

The novella by Molly Harper was the best. I love her. I really disliked the first story - I skipped it after 3 chapters.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Jessica Sims & Katie MacAlister's stories need different narrators.

Did the narrators do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

None are as good as Amanda Ronconi, who usually does Molly Harper's books. Abby was best of the three, with different voices for each character. But as I've heard Amanda's versions of voices for the same characters they still bugged me.Leah had a terrible time doing men's voices. And Sophie has these long pauses between words during some of the more... intimate scenes and it just bugged me. The pauses were too long to really fit, they hurt the flow.

Was The Undead in My Bed worth the listening time?

Not all of it. After 3 chapters I skipped the first novella. All of the Molly Harper story was great. And the last story was okay, not amazing, but okay. Honestly I only listened to it because I was tiling my kitchen and didn't have anything else to listen to. But I did finish it when I had other options.

Any additional comments?

As I wanted to hear the tory about Sam and Tess, it was worth the credit. But if I weren't a Molly Harper fan I wouldn't have gotten it and I wouldn't have missed much.

Good collection of stories

I really enjoyed the last two stories. If you like vampires and super natural things it's will be right up your alley.

Entertaining and engrossing

This kept coming up as a recommendation so I gunshot have it a try. I really enjoyed it. All 3 stories were fun and romantic. I'm a Molly Harper fan and bought it for her story, but it's the weakest of the three and very reflective of a tired formula she's fallen into. If you like fun vampire stories with happy endings and lots of great characters give this collection a listen.

Loves these stories

Loves all of these stories. Each were unique and had their own unique supernatural twist. I enjoyed them all. Very nice.

Fun characters

The stories all had a good pace, the characters were likable and they all had a Half Moon Hollow kind of feel, even those not written by Molly Harper. They share the community or connected feeling that makes me want to be part of their world.
The Suspense level was great, with a good build up but no torturously slow resolution. When you want a fun, sexy, lighthearted romp, put this book at the top of your list!
