Engrossing

I liked everything about this book - for me it was in that category where towards the end, you want to stretch it out so it lasts longer. Thinking about it now in retrospect -- I was too busy following the story to think about this while listening -- I realize just how skillful the author is. Lots of characters, but you have no trouble keeping them apart and remembering who's who. An action scene at the end, exciting but not endlessly tedious as they sometimes can be. Enough plausible suspects to keep you guessing.

Constant Drama

This is one of the most gripping and entertaining books I have listened to. It is very authentic and brilliantly narrated.

Apprehension

I love your books, BUT you’ve turned Liam into a whinny, self doubter who is not the same person in the other books. Sorry but it was off putting.

Great Northern Ireland detective story

Great story and great character development. I also loved a lot of the background info on all the conflicts in Northern Ireland in the 80ties and 90ties. Enjoy!

First Balson

This was my first Balson read and I enjoyed the whodunnit. Will be looking forward to enjoying more from Ronald Balson

Enjoyable Series

I’ve loved reading this historical fiction series. Balson has done his research and I feel like I gain a new perspective on a time in history with each book!

I absolutely loved it!!!

Im astonished at the amount of negative reviews! I thought this book was great and, the narration was spectacular! I couldn't stop listening - I stayed up until 4:30 am to listen and finished in day and a half. Overall, it's an excellent story, full of drama and action; and, the narration is fabulous! I definitely recommend this book!

Bravo

Probably one of my favorite Balson novels! Love delving into Liam's story like this! I was surprised I liked it as much as I did since it was his classic WWII story but love it so much!

1st Timer!

I’ve never been interested in listening to an audiobook, however a friend of mine put this on during a road trip and after the first chapter I was hooked!! I downloaded the app and finished the rest of the book in two days! LOVED IT!!!! All the characters voices were so distinct and the writing kept me on the edge of my seat.
