It has been nine months since Gordy and his friends, Max and Adilene, stopped Esmeralda from destroying B.R.E.W. and the Vessel. Gordy is starting the eighth grade, where he meets another Dram, Sasha Brexil, whose mother is the new President of B.R.E.W. Gordy has also been practicing new brewing techniques and has even taken some of his potions to school - something expressly forbidden - but when he starts zoning out during practice, he knows something is wrong.

Strange things are also happening at B.R.E.W., because after Wanda confronts the dark Elixirists, she is unexpectedly fired by Mrs. Brexil. And in Greenland, Mezzarix is offered a chance to escape by an old friend, who is working for the mysterious Ms. Bimini. The woman reveals that she needs Mezzarix to replicate an unusual solution known as "Silt". Mezzarix agrees on one condition: that Ms. Bimini uses the power of Silt to destroy B.R.E.W. forever.

Gordy and his friends continue to work on their potions, but when Adilene learns she will never be able to brew potions - that the only reason she had ever come close was because Gordy was projecting his ability through her - she is crushed. Against her better judgment, she uses an invisibility potion given to her by her new friend, Cadence, to spy on Gordy.

As Gordy's potion-making talents increase, so does the frequency of his blackouts, which raises a troubling question: What if Mezzarix attacks during one of Gordy's blackouts?

Both B.R.E.W and the Vessel are in danger, and with the potion world in chaos, it's up to Gordy, Max, and Adeline to rally the remaining Potion Masters before it's too late.

Kids enjoyed it

An enjoyable continuation to the series. My kids listen to it in mostly one sitting.

Max is annoying

Max is an annoying human who only cares about himself. Always trying to be funny and can’t even keep a secret.

Wonderful series

I really am enjoying this series it is a good mix of suspenseful and engaging. Does not leave you wondering what is going on east to follow the story. Overall just a good series

I listened with my almost 11 year old daughter. She says it was amazing and she loved it.

A fun story

I like how do you do other places in just the house and it how Digimatic me a survey and the real gripping story of everything in there it’s just Fanta and super fun and I can’t wait if you get a fourth book if like he’s older and he has kids or something but I was really just wanna the there’s another one was fantastic and I just can’t wait if there’s another

Great Sequel!

The Transparency Tonic is very good. There are several twists/turns and reversals. It is a great sequel to The Eternity Elixir.

The narrator does a great job. He brings the characters to life. There are points where his volume is very low and very high. However, his pitch and rhythm and voice are easy to listen to.

This book is targeted toward a younger audience. There are some adult themes such as deception, betrayal, and dark magic. There is no cursing and no sex. The violence is limited and not gory. I highly recommend this audiobook for older children, teens, and adults. Enjoy!

Fun sequel

This one took an interesting turn. Not as good as book one but still a lot of fun.

Very exciting magical adventure full of twists and turns and well told in an easy listening voice. l thoroughly enjoyed this clean tale and recommended to ages over 10 even adults that enjoy a bit of fantasy.

This series has been amazing so far! I am so happy to have stumbled across it! It’s a fantastic story, intriguing and fun! It’s surprisingly complex and the action and twists are just so entertaining!
