Gut wrenching

If you could sum up The Singer in three words, what would they be?

Loved it more the second time around but was a little lost with the addition of all the new characters .Hunter truly puts to words what it feels to have lost such a vital part of ones life.Well written, well narrated , and although I found book 2 a little dryer with the story of the Irinas, now that I've gone back to re read after completing the series, it makes a whole lot of sense.Great read, in depth characters and still my one of my favorite series.Ah the sex is more intense, I thought it was important to let you know. Not for young listeners.

Creative story-line / great character development

I love the detail and depth of the story-line in this series. The character development is also great as you feel you're getting to know the characters and going along-side them as they grow and develop as people.

Enjoyable

Each book brings you deeper into the lives of each cgaracter. The story weaves itself revealing more and more of the past, present and future.

World building at its best!

In this story Ava travels to the Irins to learn how to master her powers. She is heartbroken, yet reminds strong and works relentlessly to become a warrior. In the meantime Malachi is trying to find her, and begins to unravel the political scene around the globe. It doesn’t look promising. They meet in their dreams, but don’t understand how or what it means, yet it helps them both cope with their different struggles. This book has a ton of amazing world building and character development (particularly for several side characters). It’s very well done. There were a few times I felt frustrated and wanted things to speed up, but stick with it. It’s well worth the wait!!! This is my second time reading this series, and I can guarantee you that book three is worth a few delays in this book. It’s soo good and full of action and intrigue!!!

Zachary’s performance remains top notch!!! He really brings the characters to life!!

I would give this series 10 stars if I could. It’s been the best series I’ve listened to in a long while!

Excellent Narration

I felt the pain, the joy and sorrow. Every sentiment evoked me to my very core. reading this series has opened my mind to new possibilities.

I enjoyed this second installment, watching how Ava and Malachai found their way back to each other was so full of anxiety and anticipation that I just couldn’t put the book down. I also enjoyed that their time apart made Ava stronger and more independent and also just OVER the whole Irin thing, it made a lot of sense to me (like what was she sticking around for anyway) in her grief and loneliness. I empathized with her quite a lot.
Also, Zachary Webber is such an epic narrator. He brings these characters and accents to life, each having a unique voice. He’s just amazing!

Interesting story and world building

However the more I read/listen to the story the less I like Ana. She is told she has danger everywhere has seen how dangerous the situation is first hand and instead of learning how to protect herself and those she cares about she refuses to learn magic or take precautions. She becomes ever more petulant and petty self indulgent. I want to shake her silly. Why does anyone even like her? Ugh

Engaging, rich, and thoroughly held my attention.

Great story! Great Narration! Rich Charterers! Unique story line! I Love the research done to make the settings authentic. Captured my heart and mind through every page.

Holy cow

So far book 1 and book 2 are intense. I love and I hate these stories only because they keep me on the edge of my seat. I love the characters and there journey. I love Zachary Webber in his performance of the character. Now on to book 3.
