better than I was expecting

This isn't my usual type of book and I didn't think i'd be as drawn into it as much as I was. It was a little slow to start, but once it got going I could easily see the vastness of the mountains and feel the twists and turns unfold. The characters were well developed and kept me interested for the duration.

Much of my enjoyment of this story was enhanced by Shawn Compton's narration which added to my overall audio experience.

Not Your Typical "Teen" Story

I usually don't like "teen" stories, but I liked Seventh Taking. The story line is not particularly unique, but it kept my attention to the end. As a bonus, Bourg proves that you can write a good story and make it "clean". This would be a great book for teens, but is a good listen for adults as well.
Much credit goes to the excellent narration of Shawn Compton who chose to use mature voices for each character instead of making them sound like children.

Abraham and his girlfriend Joy, neighbors, as well as words of love been spoken. She was a junior, and he was going away to college. Finally telling her he wanted to be single, while at college. She took it hard, as well as Abraham feeling devastated from how he hurt her. Joy going camping with her over being Father, ran off into the mountains. Seven weeks Abraham was advised to go and try to find her, to seek closure, and move on. With 2 friends an adventure that shakes them to the core. Abraham sees the posted notices of other girls missing. Seven now, all in June, reasons there was parent problems and these girls still not found. There trek into the mountains is chilling, and will haunt them. What will the outcome be.The audio narration by Shawn Compton was great bringing this haunting tale to life for readers.
