Strength of Character
I liked the fact that the family, no matter how upset or angry they were, seemed to do the right thing. They looked out for each other and tried to connect with their friends and neighbors.....even though some of them had alterior motives.

Excitement at every turn!
The story of Dr Patrick Flint and his family’s trials and tribulations in the wilderness of Wyoming is enthralling. Who knew there was so much murder and mayhem in the mountains. Just when you think their lives will settle down, more intrigue ensues. Great series!

Mispronunciations detract from a good story
I did like the storyline in these books. But as someone who grew up in the area, the mispronunciation of the towns on the Wind River reservation was quite appalling. The author tries to defend the plight of those living on the reservation, but couldn’t take two minutes to find out how to pronounce the towns on the reservation. It was disrespectful, and outright lazy. I will not finish the series because of it.
