That it was a gift from the Norse God Odin and any army that marches behind it will be victorious. The quest sets events in motion that are beyond Einar's control.

The first book made me want to continue the story. The drastic change in writing and parts of plot writing just killed it for me. If I had nothing else to listen to I might pick the series back up.
