Another favorite from B.B. Reid! I love the When Rivals Play series and this one was just as perfect as the others if not better! The narrator's were amazing. The story took me on an addictive journey to keep listening to find out what happened next! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

Addictive, angst ridden, passionate & compelling!

Addictive, angst ridden, passionate and compelling. The Punk and The Plaything had IT ALL!

The Punk and The Plaything is the third book in the When Rival's Play Series continuing the story line that started it all in The Peer and The Puppet. A second chance Romance written in dual POV through main characters Jameson and Barbette whom we met in the first book.

Jamie and Bea had a complex history that going into this book we knew very little about. I loved that The Punk and The Plaything gave us more insight to there relationship.

Since learning Bea and Ever's secret, I've been fascinated to learn more about Bea. She has always been a character that I wanted to learn more about, she seemed so strong and confident but when it came to the toxic relationship with her parents she backed down so quickly.

Bea and Jamie had phenomenal character development in this book, I loved the growth we experienced for both of these characters and even more so the growth of there relationship.

The When Rivals Play series is one of my favourites, each book has its own plot while also fitting in perfectly to the overarching plot in the series and is best experienced blind. there are so many key points that link up to other key points in the series, Its complex, compelling and so addictive! I love BB Reid's writing!

The audibook of The Punk and The Plaything was such a fantastic listen! Stephen Dexter and Jillian Macie were the perfect narrators to bring Jamie and Bea to life. They both captured these characters perfectly and brought even more depth to them. I can't wait tolisten to the rest of the series!

This is what happens when nobody communicates with each other...
Honestly I didn’t know what the big deal was to keep Jamie in the dark about what was going on.
I can’t remember what book in the series (1 or 2) that Jamie had a Irish accent. I preferred that accent over the Boston/New York type accent he has in this book.
I still think the first book was the best so far

ABSOLUTLEY ADORED!!!

First off, B.B. Reid is a master when writing teen angst and all the drama! I devoured the book and the audible version is right on point! The Punk and the Plaything is the third installment to the When Rivals Play series and what a magnificent inclusion it is!

Jamie and Bee's chemistry is brilliant! The push, the pull, the heat, the emotions, made this rollercoaster an amazing read, that you couldn't put down! I was throughly addicted until the last page.

Jillian Macie narrated the part of Barbette. I loved her voice! She had a deeper, raspier voice, than I had pictured of the ice queen. She did an excellent job portraying a character you can't help but fall in love with. Stephen Dexter's voice was compelling and perfect for our Jameson! He had a slight accent and who doesn't love an accent?! The narrator's did an excellent job of bringing this book to life for us.

I absolutley adored this audible book!! If you want a great listen with some fun banter between friends and friend-emies, steam and ALL the drama and angst, this is the book for you!!

OMG

I bingelistened to this series, and I am so sad that I will have to read book 4. But I can't wait for the audio :) This book just grabbed me and did not let go until I listened to the last word. The series is amazing. The author's words are just so captivating, and I was helpless. The narration was done well, and there were definitely some OMG moments that I could not believe. I was so happy to have won a copy and this book is just the best. Loved it.

The Punk’s Perfect Match

I knew from book one that Jamie and Bee’s story would be worth the wait and BB Reid delivered in spades. Jameson Buchanan was still the troublemaker I had grown to love in the last two books, but now I also got to truly see where he was coming from and the motives behind his actions. I enjoyed the flashbacks explaining the original relationship he and Bee had which allowed me to better understand their dynamic. Bee was finally fleshed out in this story, becoming more than Ever’s “girlfriend”. I loved the way she gave as good as she got as well as seeing her vulnerable side. Stephen Dexter and Jillian Macie did a wonderful job with this audio, giving each character their own sound and only losing accents a few times. I would definitely listen to more audiobooks from them.

4 angsty STARS

If you haven't listened to book 1 turn back now! While the books are all about different couples there is a continuing story arc.

I have to admit I have not liked Bee throughout the series. I can't help it, I'm a Four and Ever fan! I liked that in this book we see glimpses of Bee and the guys when they were younger. It made me like and understand her character more. I still hate her parents though! I liked Jamie from the beginning and I always hated how in the dark he was about everything. I don't want to say more and spoil it other than be ready for an angsty ride.

Narration was amazing! I especially liked Stephen as Jamie.

one word: INCREDIBLE

FINALLY. Jamie & Barbette got their happy ending. Such and amazing book!!!!! Now one more book and the series will be over. so bittersweet. 5 stars and beyond.

I love the narrator's for this book. They pulled me in and kept me listening. This story is all the things amazing. B.B. Reid outdid herself with this one.

These RIVALS Really Do Play

Wow, I read this book, but having listened to it, makes it even better. Barbette is tough and we didn't even know it. I really felt connected to their younger years and didn't feel weird diving in a New Adult romance like this one. Jamie, oh my Jamie-can you be any perfect than this? I don't think so. I will definitely keep reading and listening to this author and whatever else she brings to the table.
