Great Read
This is one of the best reads I've had in a while I'm 13 and have read all the other books in the trilogy and Taran has brought another amazing book to the table great read would recommend it!

amazing but could have been longer
great book but could have been longer I wish the books were 600 pages and not 300

Eh.... We've done this before.
I feel like this is just a book to justify relationships and canonically clarify some worldbuilding that was previously left unclear. The story is fine, but we've done this all before.

Great addition to the series
I love this prequel to the Summoner series. I think this may be my second favorite book in the entire series. The story follows Arcturus in his early days as a Novice summoner at Vocans Academy. Love It!!!

Fabulous
Now this is how a prequel is supposed to be written! same strong story telling but not too tied to the original material...loved it!

Great backstory

Great addition
I was worried about reading a “prequel” but the story was great. Love the writer and the narrator brought the story to life in a way that grabs you from the beginning!

No what I expected
Overall it was a good book but I was expecting something else when I bought it. It is not a continuation of the previous set but a new story.
